I just don't understand why everyone cares so much about this week to week? Nothing matters until the Playoff poll is released a little later on. I mean, sure it is fun to talk about broadly, but all of the dissecting people do, like "I can't believe this team is so many points ahead of us instead of being right in front of us". Or "I can't believe we didn't get any first place votes!". Those types of things are crazy!!

I mean, I guess.

I like the No. 4 ranking. We are one of the only 2 undefeated SEC teams and only of the only 3 undefeated in SEC play, but we have the best point differential of +45.

SEC officials need to start sucking our D like Alabama and giving us every call to preserve that ranking and playoff spot

And at Iowa. Only the Iowa game was actually close.

Oregon, Illinois, and Iowa are a combined 14-5. The teams you mentioned are a combined 9-9. Even if you add Miss. State in there, its still 13-11.

Sorry, but yeah, they deserve to be ahead of us IF we're doing a ranking exercise at this point. I don't necessarily agree doing one this early is useful, but by most measurements they'd be slightly ahead.

That's the biggest joke. They are ahead of 11 teams that are either undefeated or 1 loss and they still haven't beaten anyone with a pulse.

Let me play devil's advocate on this. How many times do we see that the bias in rankings and ultimately the CFP committee hurt a team that deserved to be in, or helping a team that doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs before we realize that the current complaint is merely calling out that consistent bias?

They are ranked ahead of those teams because they are much better than those teams.

ND is a top 10 team. They just happened to open the season with two top 4 teams.

And either of those games could have gone either way for them.

Tough draw, but they are one of the best teams in the country nonetheless.

It's October, still plenty of time for a lot of things to happen lol.
