And Texas is #8 without having beat a P4 program yet this year.

Everything is still right in the world.

Texas will drop 5-6 spots to keep them above 20. Had the Ags **** the bed, we would have dropped at least 10 spots. It's insane the bias. Hell, ND is still in playoff conversations FFS.

tu definitely stays in. Don't forget that both of their losses come to teams that beat the preseason #1 ranked team. That should count for something.

Some voter put them in the top 10 after they beat Arkansas. Do they deserve to move up? Sure but they have probably lucked up a playoff spot at this rate if they win out. They don't have a single good team left on their schedule.

They are kind of a tough case. If they continue to beat the crap out of their remaining schedule and if Miami and A&M continue on as playoff teams, then there is no doubt they would be a Top 12 team and deserve a playoff spot.

Really the only question is what the rest of the landscape looks like. If there is a 9-3 team with 6 games against ranked teams that they went 3-3 in, I would say the 9-3 team would deserve in over them. I would put any BIG school that goes 10-2 and loses the only two real games on their schedule in the same boat as ND.

With a 12 team playoff and the extremely unbalanced schedules in the super conferences, you are always going to have undeserving teams that are in only due to their schedule.

It's been around for years and notorious for its idiocy. There is no way they can arrive at these rankings without having a literal "blue blood" weighted criteria.

It uses previous years success as a major component, particularly early in the year. Pretty sure it also uses ESPN recruiting rankings as at least a decent portion.

The disparity in these rankings is kind of wild. Texas is 8 in FPI, 19 in Coaches and UR in AP.

Looks like AP are the sane ones here.
