Ceiling: 10-2
Floor: 7-5
Prediction: 9-3 with losses to Notre Dame, LSU, and Texas
I've also got us at 9-3.......but we could get a win over Notre Dame and go 10-2

The following Aggie head coaches won 6 games or less in a season
Jackie Sherrill
R.C Slocum
Dennis Franchione
Mike Sherman
Jimbo Fisher
Sumlin escaped Aggie football history. I did not go any further than Sherrill, but the proof is in the pudding. This season's schedule is harder than last season's and we aren't catching anyone off guard with our QB situation anymore.
History tends to repeat itself which means, Elko will have a 6 win season (or less) while in Aggieland.
Im predicting its in 2025

I still see 9-3 but really anything from 7-5 to 10-2 are very likely to happen.
7-5 Elko's seat is hot
8-4 Elko's seat is warm
9-3 Elko's seat is cool
10-2 Elko's seat is ice cold

Only time we've won 10 games in the last 25 years:
2012 Johnny football
2020 Senior Kellen Mond (would have won 10 games had they had a full season?)

I don't see us losing until the Championship game versus Ohio State.

And all those teams were coached by Jimbo and Summy with different players. No relevance.

Wild that so many are still chugging the Koolaid and think Texas A&M, one of the most embarrassing road teams in the P5, is going to waltz into South Bend and win over a Top 6 ND team in their house based on absolutely nothing but the same preseason hype that we fail to live up to every single year.

Love the Maroon Dawn reality distortion field.
We lost two road SEC games last year. That is a record most teams in the SEC would kill for.

Proud of losing to 5-7 Auburn and getting blown out at South Carolina I see. Not the same as losing at Georgia, Bama, horns, etc

Guys, we've made it. We won the national championship of only losing two SEC road games last year. Give Elko an extension to 2045.

We still haven't won a November or later road game since 2020. We have lost 7 consecutive November road games since a 34-13 win at Tennessee on 12/19/2020. A win over Missouri would be our first November/December road win in 5 years, but losses to both Missouri and Texas would extend our November road losing streak to 9 games and stretch into 2026.

Ho Hum Ho Hum, 8-4 here we come.
We are NOT wiining at LSU and at ND.
Between Aub Florida @'Sip @Mizz @ Ark and SC you KNOW we will be outscored in at least 2.

Going 4-2 against those teams would actually be impressive.
I don't see it happening.

If the AP is worth anything we'll finally break our Texas 8-4 moniker only to go 7-5.
We have ND, Florida, S Car., corndog, and the perennial champions of August in sip all ranked ahead of us. Hell we even got Illinois, k state and smu ranked ahead of us.
Nevertheless, 19 is right where we belong. The challenge becomes finishing the season ranked better than 19… A tall task, history would say.
9-3 should get us there, and it would be a good enough season for most. But the level-heads of the zoo have been predicting this every year since '20 and it almost seems unattainable.
Since the zoo and the AP both mostly wrong about all things, our best shot at breaking the curse is by sticking to our guns and predicting the inevitable 8-4. Hell, maybe some y'all will finally get a chance to say I told you so even. What a day that would be.

Stats show if Marcel plays through the season and we don't have a new qb, we can go 9-3 at least.
