I agree with you, and I think Notre Dame is the most winnable of those 3 daunting road games. In contrast, I think the road games at LSU and Texas are probable road losses that cap our ceiling at 10-2.

Hopefully the injury bug doesn't bite us like it did last year at RB.

Sherrill inherited Tom Wilson's team. Wilson had nearly an identical record to Fran. Sherrill turned things around because he learned, bought into, and promoted Aggie culture. Plus, he recruited well (NIL before we had NIL).

I think this is the best team since 2012. What people overlook is how injury free we were in 2012 and how injury plagued we've been since then. How many years have we gone with the starting QB game one finishing the season?

If we can stay healthy, we could run the table. And yes, I'm drinking Kool-Aid. It's August.

This is just pure Cope to ignore that we've been through half a dozen coaches and hundreds of players in the past 20 years and outside maybe 3 seasons (where we still won no hardware) this team has been the definition of mediocrity and so far Elko has shown no proof he's any different.

Also, we have lost 7 consecutive November road games since a 34-13 win at Tennessee on 12/19/2020. 3 of those 7 losses were by 10+ points each. I think road loses to LSU in 2021 and Auburn in 2022 and 2024 were inexcusable because these 3 teams finished 6-7 or worse.

Agreed. Even if we somehow get a freak win at ND, we're very likely 8-4. I predict 7-5 though, per my previous post in this thread.

Four regular season losses.
LOSSES: Florida, LSU, and tu.
WIN WON/ LOSE ONE: ND, Mizzou

Miss playoffs.
Elko returns in 2026 sans Klein.

I am proud of my ability to count. The number of road losses is 2. If you want to complain about who we lost to that is a different argument.

Two good seasons of the last 25. Don't believe the hype! Same crap, different year.

How anyone can find more than 8 wins on this schedule is crazy.

7-5 and almost all of us will know that Elko is done here. But there will still be a few pumpers trying to convince that all we need is a good portal class.
