What one's Win/Loss prediction has nothing to do with them having BAS.

One can say 8-4 and still be excited for the season while another fan can say 8-4 and use it as a means to be eye-ore.

If an Aggie falls in the second tier, that is BAS.

Assuming we beat UTSA, Utah State and Samford, going 5-4 against our SEC slate plus ND doesn't do anything for me because I've seen this movie WAAAY too many times, and it ****ing SUCKS.

If that means I have BAS, so be it.

I'm am excited on the season. And I will stay excited as long as we can still make the playoff. Which even last year was up until our last game with the sips.

I fall in line with what the Mizzou coach stated at SEC media days. He put it the same way. Fan bases will be engaged until their team is out of the running for a possible playoff spot.

I cannot relate to those with BAS and assuming we are already out of the playoff race. If I had that mentality, I would not even follow the sport. And sure as heck would not waste time making posts on an Aggie football forum.

So you lie to yourself and ignore all the evidence to justify believing in a program that hasn't earned any belief in it in almost 30 years

Robert Earl Keen is right. We usually have a strong start before collapsing in October or November. Since winning the Big 12 in 1998, we have lost 4+ games in 24 of the last 26 years, and the only exceptions were when we finished 11-2 (6-2 SEC) in 2012 and 9-1 (8-1 SEC) in 2020.

We started 7-1 (5-0 SEC) before losing 4 of his last 5 games, including 3 consecutive losses to end the season. Our only win in that span was over New Mexico State. I have noticed several negative trends:

1. We have lost 4 consecutive games to Power 4 opponents, including our last 3 SEC games, since a 38-23 home win over LSU on 10/26/2024.

2. We have lost 4 consecutive November SEC games dating back to a 42-30 road loss at LSU on 11/25/2023.

3. We have lost 6 consecutive games to Power 4 opponents in November or later since a 51-10 home win over Mississippi State on 11/11/2023, including our last two bowl games. Our last bowl win was a 41-27 win over North Carolina in the 2021 Orange Bowl on 1/2/2021.

4. Even worse, we have lost 7 consecutive November road games since a 34-13 road win at Tennessee on 12/19/2020.

Realistically, I think we have a floor of 7-5 (6-1 home and 1-4 away) and a ceiling of 10-2 (7-0 home and 3-2 away), and I am predicting 9-3 (7-0 home and 2-3 away) with losses to Notre Dame, LSU, and Texas. But I won't be surprised if we lose those 3 big road games against top 10 teams and 1 or 2 additional games against Florida (home), Arkansas (away), Missouri (away), or South Carolina (home). If we go 8-4 (5-3 SEC) with at least one November SEC win, I hope we win our bowl game to finish 9-4 (5-3 SEC), which would be a much better finish than ending last season with 4 consecutive losses to Power 4 opponents.

Let me guess, you probably don't bother going to any of your kids sports games until they've first won a title?
And at that point, that's when you'll start showing some support and interest?

Be cynical. Be impatient. That's a ton of us. Texas 8&4 will continue to be a thing, until it's no longer a thing.
We're fans. We're alumni. Some are very proud alumni. We like our school. Some absolutely LOVE our school. And we all want our school to win, and it sucks when we don't.

But where it crosses over into stupidity is the idiots now proclaiming that the entire fanbase just needs to boycott the supporting of all sports, whether that be attendance or otherwise, until Natty's are being won in said sport.

And to NOT do that....and for those that continue to attend games, and continue to donate....that just means they're all "losers" that "accept mediocrity"....and that's where it just gets nonsensical.

I guess it's ok to be an A&M track fan, but that's about it?
And I guess the only football team that should have fans in their stands this year is Ohio State?
Because every other fan attending every other football game at every other school across the country....they're all just losers, accepting mediocrity, refusing to take a stand and demand excellence from their schools.

Yeah. Stop attending. Stop donating. That'll fix it. That'll show 'em.
Who knew the quickest and most direct path to a Natty is to have zero fans, and zero money.
Yep, that oughtta do it.

Correct. Last year was a good example. Losing to a bad Auburn team, not showing up against the sips, and finally, the fourth quarter collapse against USC in our bowl.

I learned from the coach fran years. Just except that the best the Aggies will ever do is 8 and 4. Maybe 9 and 3 maybe 10-2 every 20 years. 8 and 4 or 7 and 5 is the best outcome. Once Aggie fans have excepted that, they to can live a healthy non bas life.
