There is no emotion in this decision now. I am sorry you are being paid, you need to show up. Just like real life. Kind of an esoteric point, but some opinions actually are more "valid" than others. For example, in some people's opinion, the earth is flat. Given the abundant scientific evidence, my opinion is that the earth is round - a much more valid opinion.
