Has to be so sad right now. 2nd year in a row that SEC has ZERO teams in the NC game.

Stankey's back room deals (I.e. bad tv deals, scheduling favoritism, putting tu & 0u in the conference, etc) are imploding on him.
If tu were a human, his name would be Stankey

My loyalty is to A&M not the SEC. If we are not playing for the national championship then I could not care less if the SEC has a school in the game. Of course I never want to see t.u. There so that's my in exception.

Sankey got rich off sip to sec... He sold the entire conference down the river bc he was offered backdoor money from sip & Disney....
His salary from the sec is pennies compared to what he sold his soul for....

He let Texas and OU in because he had to. If they had gone to the B1G, the future of the SEC would be buried. Still doesn't look good, but it would have been game over. The B1G is five steps ahead of sankey.

I have some ocean front property in Arizona you would probably be interested in if you don't think Snakey didn't receive money under the table to let tu in.

Also the B1G has become the premier conference...
More money, more success
Why any Ag is still clinging to waving an sec flag is baffling

Yeah, I think it was a conference survival move.
Big picture chess, and as much as we hate the short term, I don't think we can deny the long term given the B1G power play and newly compiled national footprint.
All the people claiming it's purely an anti-A&M move are not seeing the forest because of all the trees.

I don't think the OP was 'waving an SEC flag'
I think the point was Snakey has destroyed the SEC to where it is no longer the preeminent conference that commands top broadcast dollars that are used to fund championship programs. You need the strong, well run conference to get the money to buy championships.
The BIG has figured it out and is running circles around Snakey because all he cares about is the fact that he got paid.

I agree w everything you said
But many posters here act like leaving the sec for the B1G would be a terrible move for the Ags... They generally boast about sec greatness, cultural fits, etc
Reality is that it's all nonsense.... The name of the game is money
B1G has surpassed the Sec & we're not making up any ground w idiot sankey running the show
We should be evaluating what's the best interest for A&M, and a B1G invite should definitely not be scoffed at

Going all in with ESPN was status quo thinking. The B1G thought bigger and brought multiple media outlets tot he table, getting a much bigger payout as a result.
Unless he is fired and replaced with someone capable of winning ALL of the major ACC pieces over to the SEC, then the B1G will decide how that eventual "merger" goes

I would think, if the truth was known the - SEC was going to eventually look for ways to add Texas and Oklahoma.
No matter what was said or written, it's all about money. Fit and culture are gonna take a back seat - if they were able to add two of the most recognizable and successful universities.

Guaranteed the next guy will be a tu guy and do their bidding
this is a weak take - SEC would have been just fine if we hadn't added tu/OU. If we get any extra money from their addition , it will be when next contract is negotiated for 2034The Banned said:Mr. Fingerbottom said:sodycracker said:
