Folks, we are serfs that believe in all of the good to come. Unfortunately, there are too many idiots, that have way too much money for their own good, that are way too involved in the hiring and firing process. Until the head of that snake is chopped off, expect more of the same.

So many short term memories. Didn't Jimbo go 5-7 and 6-4 (removed before LSU and bowl games) in years five and six?? I remember him wussing out of the 2021 bowl game also.

He became completely inept as the OC with his 1000 play menu card on the sideline.

Our chancellor and leadership are to blame for pissing away alumni money like the federal government and our taxes.

There is no one to blame but us. Having all of these expectations and such. We might as well go back to the B12 or maybe a G5 conference and be happy when we go 8-4.

Will you come back when the sips lose to Arizona State?
Oh what a late Christmas present that would be. Sadly it is lost in the mail.

To buy out a coach with a championship ring somewhere else, and a top 4 finish here, before his starting QB got injured 3 years in a row.

And replaced him with that.

Inept offense.

Inept defense.

Inept special teams.

Undisciplined behavior.

Truly pathetic.

But not to worry. We only have to keep paying Jimbo until 2031. Then we might free up some money to do something different.

Jimbo completely lost the locker room. He had to go.

Based on what? His teams played everyone close. His last game was a 40 point win. People just like to use the locker room point to justify what they want to do anyway.

Massive disappointment this season from Elko, but he outperformed Jimbo by a level you can't even comprehend. Jimbo wasn't even trying anymore. That's what happens when you hand someone the winning lottery ticket without any strings.

Jimbo probably wanted to get fired when he saw how things operated behind the scenes. He was apparently tired of fighting it. It seemed like he intentionally ignored whoever was pulling strings so he could just get paid and be done with it.

If Elko was the best you could do when putting out feelers, then you don't rush into firing Jimbo. That whole situation was handled so poorly. From the initial extension which was completely unnecessary, to the rushed firing and attempted hire of Stoops. Just complete clowns running this thing.

You saw 2021, 2022, and 2023 just like we did. Jimbo was not working. I'm not sure if Elko is better than an 8-4 journeyman, but firing Jimbo was the right move.

He won't see 8-4 ever again. Not here.

This was the easiest schedule we have had since we've been in the SEC.

We won't see another one this easy for a long time.

He was handed an SEC championship bid on a platter and pissed away
no it's not.

2020 and 2018 were easier.

Bjork was headed out the door so either took a flyer and it worked or more likely Sharp was cleaning up Woodward's mess. Either way it was an awful decision and further demonstrates we have proved incapable of good ones.

Don't worry though: we can fire Elko and look dumber…

Elko was never going to be the savior in Year 1.

But it was disappointing to have the same results with a new coach.

It takes a good coach 2-3 seasons to make a turn and 3-4 to reach it's potential.

Look what Sark did to Texas and what Prime has done at Colorado.

I'm not saying that Elko is going to follow those men, but it seems premature to take him to the train station now.

Difference is Sark was coaching his least talented team he would ever have that first year because Herman poorly recruited the trenches versus this year might have been Elko's most talented team on paper that he would have based on recruiting and blue chip ratio with an extremely easy schedule and he still loss 5 games

Give it a rest, it's year one with a depleted roster and leftovers from a terrible Jimbo culture. Mike Elko is a good man and great defensive coach, he needs to run the defense and get a new OC.

Jimbo needed to go. He had a losing season, losing players, lost to Appalachian State at home and had lost the fanbase as well.

Same old excuses we use every single time we hire bad coaches. Then we fire them and do the same things again. Coaches don't need 3 or 4 years when they come into a program with top 10 everything

We didn't have any offensive talent on our roster outside of Moss from the Jimbo era that played most of this season. Jimbo had multiple players he recruited that failed big time or left before Eljo started. Plus Jimbo screwed up our OL with his hire of Addazio.

Sark's roster is built to win championships, while A&M has a few players that will get drafted or get invited to an NFL camp. The rest of A&M's roster would be playing in lesser conferences. Let's face it, this billion dollar program will only produce 8 win seasons at best. We are like Kentucky without the blue blood basketball program.

Every summer we will talk about how young and exciting this team will be, and Ags will get giddy when they see Elko's manziel tweets when he signs a backup tight end from the portal.

Jimbo should have gone but only if we had an ideal good coach AND coaching staff lined up to hit the ground running. We now see we didn't and we have our new coach for 6 years with, at minimum, 7 million a year

We may have a Top 10 stadium, Top 10 facilities and a Top 10 fan base, but this year we only had a Top 25 roster.

Which is surprising with all the NIL money kids are getting paid. We are an expensive LaTech program.

Completely agree. If you don't have legit interest from a respected, established coach, then you better be very careful. Definitely not impressed when the best selling point anyone could give me was "he gets us "

Whatever the hell that means.

Blue star. This is the root cause and why it re-occurs. Hang with me, but perhaps we should have an ongoing evaluation committee. Maybe former coaches, ADs, no BMAs as consultants. The way Bjork ran the search was so haphazard. I would have stuck with Jimbo another year if it meant a genuine search was underway.

Did you actually foot the bill for Jimbo's buyout? My guess is you did not put one dollar into the buyout.

I was also informed one rich Aggie paid a large portion on the buyout. Being that he was one of the rich Aggies that were involved in hiring him and his extension. So good for him for helping take care of something he was part of taking place.

So not sure why Aggies who did not use their money for anything feel the need to complain about it.

Because no one gives a **** if some slap dick who has more money than sense held the entire fanbase hostage with a ******ed hire. It was so bad that we will be dealing with the consequences for years to come.

We didn't ask for these ******s to be out-negotiated and hand one of the worst coaching contracts ever out. But now we have to watch this fledgling program flail because some big money Ags thought that because their bank account had a big number, they knew how to fix Aggie football.

Nah. Yall just gave generational wealth and a blank national championship to a man from West Virginia. Sorry if I don't think that anyone is owed any special reverence because they hitched this program to a terrible hire and money situation.

FYI

You and the OP did nothing.

What consequences are you having to deal with. As I pointed out. The rich Ag who was involved paid most of the buyout. Not you.
