I've been trying to get my wife to give up our FB tickets and do something fun in the fall with our weekends. The Texas game and this one have helped my cause tremendously.
As long as people are willing to part with thousands of dollars and stand in line for tickets, then why should anything change?eATMup-Reveille said:Aggies2009 said:Agijud said:
This game just reinforced the decision I made in November to stop tailgating and not renew season tickets. All hype, no substance. When it comes down to it, no fight! Terrible coaching. Terrible tackling. So many penalties. No killer instinct. Complete unwillingness to put the other team away.
You won't be missed. Tickets have a waiting list.
Perhaps that's part of the reason mediocrity is so acceptable.
Seemingly? We'll be lucky to get to 6 with this joke of a programeATMup-Reveille said:
Despite what some would have called an 8 win season a success in August, this season seems like a failure with a disgusting feel going into next season.
With speculation that next year's schedule will be harder, is an 8 win season seemingly out of reach?

Well. We went 1-4 in the second half of the season. As far as I'm concerned it's a miserable failure.eATMup-Reveille said:

The D is missing 5 starters, this epic L is not on them. It is squarely on Klein. We have almost the entire starting offense. That last TD drive just shows how stupid and crappy he was for the majority of the game. I think we ran one other zone read the entire game, and when we needed it we run the ball w/ Reed and he scores.
After the INT Owens is running well and we don't counter with a zone-read when it's open. Too many fade passes to Noah Thomas. 3 times we had first and goal and kicked FGs. After the INT we could not get closer to kick a more makeable FG. Multiple 3rd and down and 4 or less and we throw the ball 20 yard downfield to our #4 WR, none of it makes any sense.
We had a 24-7 lead, and Klein could not put up one more point until after USC had taken the lead late in 4Q.
IMHO BOTH our coordinators need to be upgraded but at least Bateman has a personnel excuse this game.
Klein is too used to Big 12 defenses, he can't adjust during the game, his 3rd down and red zone play calling is f'ing terrible.
Total and complete collapse to lose that game and it was an embrassing loss. Not embarassing to lose to UC, but the manner in which we did is comical and just pure Aggie football. 9 wins is like climbing Mount Everest for us....

Yep. This team is a 2-10 team right now. Can't win w this trash defense

38 quarters without a holding penalty now? That has to be a record.
Why would other teams need to hold us when we literally create no pass rush.
Were still winning with less than 2:00 on the clock. Defense found a way to lose, the same way they did at Auburn.Jarrin' Jay said:

You misunderstand.
They blatantly hold without fear of punishment.
Nah, it's about money. They love spending money, bragging about how much they pay the coaches and spent on the new facility. Bragging about where their seats are and how long the line is to sit where they sit. Etc, etc.Quote:

me too...sure looked ike the players were buying into his system early on and thought this would be a good season, esp. after the LSU win. But the 1-4 finish to the season has been just an all around **** show.StinkyPinky said:

Granted the lead was never that much but that was sumlins Waterloo. He lost the fans after that
App state was jimbos
I think this is already Elkos. He came in to keep our defense together and then revamp the staff to make the team more well rounded. The defense part is a miserable fail. We totally suck in defense. We would struggle to win w Johnny at qb
He's got a lot to fix before that happens.Kellso said:
This game tonight reminded me of the 1998 Cotton Bowl loss against UCLA.
Even after the Dat Nguyen TD (when A&M was up 16-0 against the Bruins) I knew in my heart that UCLA would come back to win the game. The UCLA players did not seemed fazed at all despite the early deficit.
A&M dominated the first 42 minutes of tonights football game, but even when up 24-7 I knew that Southern California would make a comeback.
I did not see them ending the game on a 28-7 run.
If there was any positive I would state that Marcel Reed looked like he has the potential to be an all conference type of player.
Next years defense should be very good. They are returning a number of starters.

When USC made it 24-14, if you could not see the loss coming you are either young or naive.
The program is a never ending dumpster fire.
