1/1/1988 Cotton Bowl win over Notre Dame. InTIMMYdation! I was a sophomore in high school. We lost three Cotton Bowls when I was at A&M.
This. IIRC, FB Tommy Agee was in motion before the snap, and it wasn't called.Hill Country Ag said:
1986 Cotton Bowl. Wrecking Crew with 12th Man stops the mighty Bo Jackson for 4x after 1st and goal from about the 5 yard line. Ags weren't expected to even be competitive against that athlete who truly looked like a man amongst boys. He did get loose in the game for one big run you knew was coming. But it wasn't enough. The Aggies were finally on the rise and everyone knew it.

Was there, Great game. Surreal. Sherrill was stoic and our team was actually very good.Quad Dog said:
That snow game was crazy. My fish year in the band and the snow started at game time and just got worse and worse. We got into a lot of snow ball flights in the crowd with sophomores as the target. At half time the MSU band declined marching, but we formed up for it. The field was covered in snow, you couldn't see the yard lines. We had planned to do the 4-Way, but that requires yard lines and precision. We were forming up in the end zone wondering what we were going to do when Col. Brewer got on the stadium PA and told us to "Recall, Step of on Hullabaloo, spread to block, countermarch each end zone, play War Hymn and Noble Men, form the T, and take it off. And that's what we did. As a fish we have a metal tap on the bottom of your shoe. The snow froze to the cold metal. A hunk of ice would build up until you were marching on your toes and it would break making you stumble.
We did a pretty good job plowing the middle of the field for the beginning of the second half. Maybe the only band that could call an audible like that.
Afterwards I had to go to the bathroom and dry out my soaking wet socks in the hand dryer.
Toombs was awesome that game, but a blocked extra point and run back let them win the game in OT.
We celebrated a very quiet New Year on a cold bus back to the hotel.
One of my all time favorites too. I have number of friends that are Auburn Fans and I remind them that A&M Whooped Bo Jackson so bad that he quit football and went and played baseball!!!PLUM LOCO said:

Sitting behind the Tennessee band for the Rocky Top Massacre would be my least favorite bowl game memory
I think that game was in 1977 after the 1976 season. (Don't ask me why the Sun Bowl was after New Year's Day) Pitt won the Natty that year and I think we could have beaten the Panthers.Dorm 15 said:
1974 Sun Bowl win over Florida. If there has been CFP then we would have been National Champs.

The snow in Shreveport against MSU was hilarious and I travelled with the TMF that year and all of the better hotels were filled with gamblers and did not need the TMF to fill their rooms
We were at the Isle of Capri overflow hotel and it was trash The hotel ran out of hot water every morning, i guess the usual clientele was not a bunch of early risers
I was among the Younger people in the traveling with the TmF To say the old Ags were not amused is an under statement
Usually the TMF gets nice hotels at reasonable prices this was neither
Tge Ags lost but Most of my Bowl memories with Ags are disappointing losses I like this memory
