We have a potential 5* bench sitting now named O' Neill...No mention of him. He had his s... together on his one and only TD drive. Where is he in the lineup?

I've already mentioned that Miles O could be very very good. He is a big kid and moves well. He stands tall in the pocket, has good pocket awareness, has touch, and arm strength.

I expect he adds 10 lbs which puts him at 6'5 230 lbs. It will ne year 2 under Klein's O so I am not betting against him.

We need a good prototypical blocking fullback so we can run up the middle more. Maybe run the triple option and always give on the dive.

We need a QB so awesome that even our horrible OC can't mess it up.

NIL has changed the power structure.

Semipro football is now the game in town.

I think there is blame to go around on CW. He was a bust out as a 5 star and that is not good. Some of it is him; some of it was a pee-poor OL; and yes the transition of coaches AND their ability to coach him up/surround with talent are all factors.

Not good.

Will be used against us as we recruit the next big arm.

Injuries played a big part

Are you saying that if he goes to a big 12 school, that he will face the same competition as he did in the sec?

Doubling down on a random melt that could not even focuse on this threads discussion.

You are right. You did not move the goal posts. You blew up the entire football field.

Therapy man, you really could use some.

Let me help you

Quit blaming coaches

Quit making excuses for players who had every opportunity to play and did not keep their job

Start there

It's been a while since a QB excelled at A&M. A few have left and thrived.

So which is it? The coaches can't develop, the coaches can't match a QB to their system, or A&M QBs only have issues with their opportunities in College Station.

Personally I think Fisher didn't develop mechanics and also screwed them up between the ears.

The two that left and are now pros, that was on the admin and Sumlin.

I think the current staff deserves more than a year to prove they are different.

Unfortunately Wiggy was ruined by our coaches and I hope will find success elsewhere but one of the missing pieces is a stud 5* QB. Not "serviceable" ones or projects, someone who is a high school high achiever. I don't know if any would like to come to A&M but maybe Elko can swing that?
We see this comment a lot and I would like for you, infinity ag, to give a detailed, 3 year history delineating how our coaches ruined WIGGY......as you refer to him.

TIA

Not if he learns from the mistakes he made here. Any improvement by him will come from self correction not coaching

The Aggies had a 3 star QB and an OC that learned to let him do what he did best. This combination eventually won the Heisman.

"A few have left and thrived"

Who would that be?

Kyler? Are you really going to use him? He was here one year. That's it. Kid was flirting with other schools and left after one semester. It's the reason Sumlin played him his freshman year bc I assume that he promised him to get him to sign. Kyler is a great talent, here one semester, left to the no defense Big 12 and did very well.

Haynes? Went to the ACC which is nothing close to SEC defenses. Looked pretty similar, especially his first year. Played with tons of heart but he would have not lasted a full season in the SEC just like he did when he was here.

So please, by all means, tell me of a QB that left and thrived in the SEC? Many QBs leave SEC schools and do well at other schools in other conferences. That not an A&M thing. It's the difference between the conferences.

So maybe accept that aspect of everything. Some kids can hack it in the SEC and some cannot.

Man I'd take the South Carolina or Mississippi State QB over worrying about stars.

Spend your time and nil first upfront and speed wr's, the right QB will then follow.

I truly believe with a little muscle in the offseason and a perfected Oline, Marcel is gonna be elite.

Well for starters most of them aren't psychiatrists.

Some may have a minor in psych but Weigman needs to play in a league where 280-300 pound guys aren't after him every play.

Actually think he'd do well at UofH or Okiestate.

Let's do baby steps:

Original Claim: coaches screwed up CW
Your counter: coaches did not screw up CW
My counter: what is the reasoning for the vast majority of our players not working out, not just CW? Were they all terrible players or did bad coaching contribute to 75% hardly contributing to the team at all?
Your answer: insult poster, don't answer question, and edit original counter to make it sound like I meant something completely different.

Why were the 300 pound guys not bothering him when he played Mizzou? And before you try to act like Mizzou was nothing, they went 9-3 and played SCar a hell of a lot closer than we did. Why were they not bothering him in the first 2.5 quarters of the MSST game?

It's usually the case with forgetful Ags that they deify someone from the past. McGee was decent but he did not win anything. A bowl here and there maybe who cares?

Conner was was one of the top QB's in the country last year pre-injury. To say he was a bust talent wise is a moronic statement. NFL scouts were extremely high on him coming into this season. Something happened whether it was the injury causing happy feet or struggling to learn his 3rd offense in 3 years that never really seemed to fit his style of play. It's not a lack of talent. Was either injury or coaching.

I'd be shocked if he doesn't look awesome wherever he lands and ends up as a pretty highly drafted QB in a year or so.

He'll never be drafted. I've said it since he was at Bridgeland, that was no 5-star. I actually live in Cypress and went to the games. What we saw is what he is. Good luck to him.
