Seeing the play from the field level angle posted in the OP, no you're probably right that he wouldn't. Was going off memory from TV last night but Daniels was terrible in this game. Moss ran through a lot of tackles all season.

Is Texas A&M serious with that play call? Three runs up the middle and don’t get anything. They should have kicked it in the first place, but you have to draw up a better fourth down play if you are going to go for it.

I have tried to defend Collin Klein for a while now. But last night it became painfully obvious.

Kansas State's whole offense since 2012 is "run it up the middle again and again even if it isn't working" and virtually zero adaptability.

The play calls were bad but isn't in Elko's decision to go for it on 4th down?

And how many times did we do this and fail this year?
At least twice on the first drive and twice (maybe 3x) could have taken the points.

Last night had they kicked both field goals its now 17-13 with 4+ minutes left, multiple TOs, and sips hadn't scored in 2nd half yet. All of the energy would have been on our side. Score TD w 2 min left and we win 20-17.

Regardless of how well defense played, FGs weren't going to win it. Elko was correct, we needed TDs.

There are actually a lot of people out there (even in media surprisingly) who wanted to see us win that game last night. I'm glad to see they are voicing their frustrations. You can't be an offensive coordinator at what is ostensibly a top 15 job in college football and completely lose your mind like that. Some of the most atrocious play calling I've ever seen, and I endured 7 years of Mazzone and Jimbo.

For 99% of us, if we have a total mental collapse like that at our jobs, we get fired or demoted. Klein has to go. It doesn't even make sense that a conscious human being would call those plays in those situations. It is truly mind blowing. It's like he wanted to lose.

Yep. I couldn't believe it when Elko decided to go for it instead of take the three and make it a one score game. Then when I saw the play unfold, my immediate reaction was that this had to be intentional. That there's no way a competent person makes that play call unless they intended to fail. It really was insane.
