It was within reach.Cromagnum said:davido said:
Regardless of how well defense played, FGs weren't going to win it. Elko was correct, we needed TDs.
Two field goals we didn't take would have made the game 17-13 and in reach.
First one for sure, second, have to go for it. Just make a better play call than the same one that failed the previous 10 times.Logos Stick said:davido said:

Elko can't see the future. Had we taken those FGs, who knows what might have occurred after that. We should have taken the first one for sure.
Has this idiot ever had an intelligent thought in his entire life?AngryAG said:This 4th down call by Texas A&M was unbelievably dumb. We were down by 10 points with 4 1/2 minutes left. Take the damn FG and hold em on defense. Just an awful play call by the offensive coordinator. This was the 2nd failed 4th down call in the Texas red zone. Nobody was converting that 2nd one. The entire OLine got absolutely blown up. Course you leak the TE out and it's probably and easy TD. If you're going to run right at them put Reed under center and have someone to push.boyfriend said:
The interesting thing is I believe Moss would have converted both of those 4th down attempts. But Daniels is not Moss so our play calling should have adjusted for that fact.
