Simply too predictable, and refuses to use our strengths.
The players made some ridiculous plays on 3rd and long to bail him out over and over again.

We don't create match up issues or use any type of confusion or mis-direction to get an aggressive D off balance.

Then in key situations we run counters up the middle and the option to the short side of the field?? We are trying to win the game…roll Reed to his strong side with a run pass option and make the defense make bad decisions.

So frustrating to have this much talent, a great SEC schedule and have it go to waste.

Kuddos to the players for hanging in and playing their hearts out.

We can do better for them, replace the OC Elmo!

Freshman making 6th start. On road. Minus two best backs on run heavy team. Average WR talent at best. One of better defenses in country. We scored 30 plus in regulation. That should be a win. How is this on Klein?

Even dialed up beautiful play and team doesn't execute.

Shoot if Reed doesn't fumbled snap with 2 minutes to go we likely win. Blame him for that too?

Blame D and soft coverage to allow them to get tying FG after they hadn't done squat entire quarter.

Maybe but Klein didn't really try to be creative until our ass was to the fire. We needed to win this game. Call the game from the jump with that fire. That 3rd and 6 play call in OT with the option to the short side of the field was just too much for me.

Right a freshman in his 6th start who has great legs, but we drop him back 30+ times…we run it inside on second down every single time…and we have 2nd and 6 in OT to win the ball game and he again runs it inside and then tuns an option to the short side??

Half of this board could have called 2 plays to get a first down there but he manages to do the same things over and over and over ….

He gets out coached every week, and we have better talent.

The 1st 2 play calls in that series were pretty good. Then a dive play on 2nd down and speed option to the short side of the field on 3rd down and full on Fran-fueled BAS kicked in for me!

Klein and Elko both need to go.

Klein is a worthless, predictable OC, and Elko who ii supposed to be some defensive genius had no answer for one of the worst offenses in the conference.

100% in on this. Anyone who calls a weak side option to the short side of the field. When they've been spying you all game is ******ed. Especially when all our running success was between the tackles. Dude is a liability.

It's all just a bag of excuses - take your pick: OC sucks, OL sucks, freshman QB, injuries, DC sucks, coach sucks, DL sucks…. And on, and on and on. Since 1998 (excluding Johnny years). We historically underperform when it matters and inexplicably lose to lesser talented teams. It's tradition.

How would anyone complain about the offense tonight? You put up 31 vs a top 20 defense in their house with a freshman QB and without your 2 best RBs, your aLL conference guard, a starting Wr and you want Klein gone?

Did you not watch the defense get gashed over and over to the worst Auburn offense in decades?

We gave up 34 points in regulation.

Kentucky was the next closest at giving up 24 points to Auburn.

It's worse for South Carolina. Def more of a defensive issue.

In a loss. We had the game done in the fourth and the offense went flat twice.

Plenty of blame for the defense too, but consistently this year he makes the wrong calls game in game out…ESP when it matters most.

I don't love that he's OC, but I also don't have a big problem with him. It's a sh*t job right now, he's had to make some pretty big adjustments around two drastically different quarterbacks. And the primary offense was installed around CW being QB1, so that's what everyone has been eating and sleeping since January.

So the season starts and it's almost immediately "Hey, you know all that stuff we've been working on? We can't use a lot of that, so we'll have to implement a bunch of other stuff. During the season." And he's not working with Evans and Swope and Patrick Lewis. Now he doesn't even have original QB1, RB1, or RB2.

Some of his play calls could be better, no question. Both 4th down calls @ SC were painfully, tragically awful. But I don't think he's doing a bad job overall with the situation he's in. I believe the offense will look considerably better next season, but I wouldn't say that about the defense.

Look, we have some question marks on offense but I can't tell if that's Elko overruling his offensive coordinator (which he does) or if it's Klein. Reed is definitely developing and if we could get him some great targets, who knows who good he would be.

Defense is the bigger problem. Need a new coordinator and some help there.

The team is broken. It's clearly not just one issue. But the play calls on both sides of the ball are confusing at a minimum. Offense is really missing a top tier RB, but Klein is running so much to the weak and short side of the field - it's mind boggling. Defense is really weak across the board. It's like we don't have the personnel for the calls we're making, but LBs are slow as hell and the DBs aren't communicating - tough to see so many safety blitzes when we're getting laced over the top. I guess I don't understand…

Where is this talent you speak of? Our two best RBs are hurt, and we have one maybe two average at best WRs.

Hard to call the ball after one season, but I was less than impressed with the hire at first and am increasingly less enthusiastic about seeing if his potential hast the ceiling that has been claimed.

Yeah the defense was the primary culprit tonight without a doubt. But I've had issues with Klein all year. He's clearly running a K State offense in his head…..the problem is he's not seeing SEC defenses with his eyes. He's still imagining the BDF.

We'd have been so much better retaining Petrino with the reins finally taken off

Defense is garbage. They have allowed 87 points the last 2 conference games. t.u. will trash them for a tune up game before playing Georgia again.
