I dont care that it was a rivalry game - BYU is not a top ten team, and they definitely aren't first round bye playoff material.
ASU could still beat the cougars although I'm not entirely convinced a loss pre-conference championship will eliminate BYU from an at large berth at this point.
I think BYU might be in even with a stumble given the "quality" win over similarly serendipitous SMU. ESPN's percentage prognostications seem to think so.

After tonight's game, it's go cougars. The best chance at the Big12 being a 1-bid conference is to have BYU run the table and win the conference championship game. ISU, KSU, ASU, and Colorado already have 2 losses. They won't make it unless they steal a bid by winning the CCG.

I guess I should get over it because it benefits us since just like Miami, BYU doesn't match their ranking. But when you keep seeing the game and results corrupted by bad calls, it just sours. If some teams are clearly being advanced, how are you to feel you'll get remotely close to a fair shake when you play?

Well it was at Utah... the not Mormon school even if they have 30 percent
Hopefully we can one day be in a position to get the "help of the refs" but you have to be sitting at the top of the conference for that to happen.
