Had two INTs. Would have been 4 including a pick 6 against a decent defense. Airmailed 5 balls. Below average completion percentage. This is against MSU.

Conner has the ability to play well but he is not consistent. This is game two against "decent" competition this year where he has played way below average.

Thoughts?

Definitely concerning looking at our competition coming up in the next few weeks.

Obviously the two Moss runs that were called back stalled our offense. Curious how the game would have changed if those plays stand.

Regardless, this was not CW's best night

It wasn't ND-bad, so there's one positive.

Aside from that, this is also a year-1 offense after like 5 years of it being a stagnant, outdated, cheesecake factory offense. I think it will get better as the season progresses.

The inconsistency is the problem. He has got to get it together if we hope to have a great season. I'm not against Elko having a quick hook if Weigman is playing bad.

What actually happened is that MSU dropped 2 almost sure thing INTs. Nothing wrong with discussing that. Decision-making and execution were off tonight for sure.

On one hand, we got the win. An SEC road win is always tough.
On the other hand, CW was atrocious, if we're being honest. If he plays like that next week, we probably lose to LSU. Elko has to at least think about going with Reed for LSU; guy is a winner and takes care of the football.

We didn't punt a single time until the fourth quarter. Part of that was the two interceptions of course, but to say he was bad beyond that is a stretch.

Marcel Reed has a 54% completion average this season. I looked that up.

He has the ability to be good but his mechanics and decision making still need work (like every college qb ever)

OP is not wrong. It is a dilemma.

If you're having to get through games to develop consistency with a QB, Reed has an argument.

Honestly, I just want CW to play like a veteran and Reed to be able to develop. CW needs to play better and afford us that luxury.

We did win which is great but Conner was very lucky he didn't have more pics and could've Cost us the game

Might be a problem but he got the win on the road with cowbells clangin'.

UGA and Sip played them at home.

State's record does not reflect their effort on the field. You think a Jimbo QB and offense would have looked better, or even won. Connor has played in what, four games in this offense?

I'm arguing Conner is the better choice, and Reed has a lower completion percentage against worse competition than Conner today in an off-game, and you're calling me drunk and dumb?

Carson Beck was hot garbage early in the game. Very similar to Wegmans bad throws.

Good teams can lift up a QB when he's not perfect. Ags did that today!
