Great point. Regardless, we had some absolute mountains on the line and they could do nothing but cause pre-snap penalties/fall backward on the QB. Glad to see some improvement, but we won't know how much the unit has improved until later in the season.

Jimbo hated good OL's and only had one good season of OL play here in 2020. The rest was mediocre to downright awful. Addazio only made matters worse with his ineptitude.

That's not true. All of Henson's O-lines were at worst serviceable. He had Robinson, Foster, and Fatheree all looking like future All-Americans in 2021.

Revisionist history can't save Henson either, he only had 1 good OL, his other 2 were mediocre at best but I wouldn't even go that far. But Jimbo's scheme likely shoulders the blame for that for the most part.

Henson was way better than Addazio and jimbos scheme sucked

I go back and forth between who I'm more mad at, Jimbo or Addazio. How Addazio could look at the results every week and think he's on the right path vs. How Jimbo can look at those results and no change and not fire the guy.

OL was a big part of Jimbo's fall from grace at FSU. They were awful towards the end of his tenure there.

Jimbo was ultimately responsible and it did cost him his job imo albeit didn't cost him money. Addazio was pitiful. I think a lot of people knew Addazio's coaching style was terrible and he did nothing to build unity and teamwork in that position group. The whispers around the program about it were prevalent.

A number of folks here predicted this position group would show immediate improvement and that certainly looks to have come true. It wasn't lack of talent, it was 2 parts bad coaching and 1 part bad scheme.
