I'll be at the Emerson/SOC game. Playing at the Star is a tremendous luxury for the Frisco ISD schools, playoff opponents generally agree to come play in Frisco which is crazy. Should be an interesting game with a lot of talent on both sides, but SOC is bigger in the trenches. Emerson will not be outcoached though.

I'll be at the PN-G- Liberty Hill game. We are trying for a rematch with SOC for a title, but I hope y'all win.

That seems like a lot of losses for teams getting this deep in a playoff run. Weird that the only two undefeated teams play each other.

All those Dallas schools recruit, so probably one of them.

Canadian(14-0) vs Gunter(14-0) These powerhouses have played each other 7 out of the last 8 years in the semifinal game.

On the surface, it looks like Emerson recruited pretty well over the summer. However, the school has only been open 3 years and this is the 1st year with seniors. The QB, who is OU bound, went to middle school in Frisco, but then was recruited to Allen. He transferred back to Frisco for his senior year because of issues at Allen. The Emerson coach was just as surprised as anybody.

The little brother who plays CB already has offers including Mississippi State.

What's really funny is the younger sibling was going to Frisco middle school the entire time the older brothers were in Allen. The Argyle and Lake Dallas coaches threw a fit at the DEC hearing to no avail.

Good luck getting tickets for PNG. LH won the toss and their coach picked a smaller stadium to limit PNG fans. PNG sold out their side the first day and started buying the LH tickets. LH pulled them offline and they are only selling at the school now.

Timpson.....nothing but bad experience getting a speeding ticket in high school on my way to visit Centenary in Shreveport

also hoping for a summer creek vs de soto matchup!! Would be a heckuva game

And coaches couldn't agree on a venue.
PNG wanted NRG stadium but Liberty Hill wouldn't agree. So they are now playing this game at the Berry Center which yeah is a nice venue but it's small for this type of game. Seats 11k.
Last year when PNG and Liberty Hill met they played at Katy Legacy stadium which seats 12k and it was sold out.
PNG sold out their allotment of tickets Monday evening, so the PNG fans started buying tickets thru the Liberty Hill website.
This caused Liberty Hill to shut down online sales and all sales in person at Liberty Hill HS

Thanks Trip. Grew up and went to school in Ganado. The team has gotten better and better since the playoffs started, but Timpson is very good.

Decatur's 4 losses were to Anna (still playing), WF Rider (3 rounds), Stephenville (lost last week to Anna), and Alvarado (2 rounds). All non-district and all close games. Glen Rose had a similar run.

As far as playing each other, the brackets are set. Region 1 plays 2 and 3 plays 4 in the semis. It all comes out in the wash. You have to beat the good teams at some point to win state.

Can't catch any of the games this weekend, but I'll be in Arlington next week for all 12 championship games. Started doing this 2 years ago when I retired. Absolutely love it. Costs $20 and you can watch all 3 games each day. 45 yard line seats. Of course parking is $20 too…. but still a heck of a deal .

PNG-Liberty Hill will be on Bally's Friday night at 7.
