1) Why in the world would we pay 75 million to fire a coach and replace him with someone with similar results? "Well... if he can be somewhat successful some of the time at UK he'll be awesome here!".

2) I get Stoops was the backlash and backed out - makes sense. Who would want to jump into this frying pan that was getting hotter by the hour.

3) "The leadership is very very far out of touch with the fans" could be true, but this far out of touch?

If your first and last points are true - then it's no wonder we are having so much trouble with our football program being relevant.

Its not even the similarity of the results, its the pricetag you pay for it. Stoops is not only mediocre results but hes super high profile and well paid. We would have been paying Jimbo money again for at least 7 years for what amounts to a poor mans Jimbo.

These are the same people who gave Jimbo a major extension only to pull the plug less than two seasons latter. Yes they offered Stoops because they woke up and found out there aren't a lot of options. But many will continue to act like the decision-makers at A&M are good at this.
