Great uncle John Wesley "Dough" Rollins '17 - played on the 13-0 team, asst. coach on the '39 NC team and stepped in as interim AD after the war.

My cousin Adolphus Rankin Britt who played for A&M and was drafted in 1939 by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 9th round. Went on to serve 25 years in the Army/Air Force and came back teach at Ranger High School. He was actually in one of my Teacher certification classes at Tarleton despite being 37 years my senior.

He was not big enough to play for A&M. Boy did he prove so many people wrong. I have an autographed jersey in my office. He had a great off field reputation during and after his football days were over.
