Once you become a coach in the NFL, you don't go back to college. Or, at least you shouldn't. NFL coaches have it much better off than college coaches, in a variety of ways.

Does he seem like a guy who would want to deal with the bull**** of recruiting and making donors happy for an extra couple mill a year?

How is it better with the NIL now? Recruiting was the biggest issue in the past and that's been mitigated with NIL.

Many coaches have done it.

His team is rolling now after so long. Why would he switch and take what is always considered a step back from nfl to CFB. Saban did it after failing. Dans team is clicking right now.

Saban failed down.

Campbell has never coached in college, not one game. Saban spent little bit of time in the nfl and long time in college before going to Miami and it was a disaster there with the Shula family trying to hurt him every which way and when he replaced Mike at Alabama, old man Shula about had a public stroke over it.

Our reality is this, every person on here is trying by to spend someone else's money in firing jimbo and hiring someone else. That's going to cost well over 100 million dollars to accomplish. No matter how this season goes the rest of the way, jimbo will be on our sideline week 1 next year.

It probably took too long to move on from RC, those other three deserved to be fired and I posted that here then. I'm not sure firing all four of those guys combined cost as much as it will to fire the current clown and hiring someone else.

He is building a special team in Detroit. Why would he leave?

Really depends on personality. You have more control of talent in college. The salary cap nature of the league and draft slotting makes it more difficult to sustain success. It's also become harder to implement systems with decreasing practice time and contact. In college you are free to pursue anyone. The transfer portal makes keeping guys happy harder but you can also use that to your advantage. I'd also argue it's easier to sustain success in college. You basically need an elite QB playing a decade plus to avoid lulls of missed playoff appearances that get you fired in the NFL. The NFL offseason is better work life balance but the season is also longer and more grueling. It also depends on whether you like teaching and mentoring or not.

That said, no reason for Dan to leave while he's winning. If he has a 6-11 or 7-10 year then maybe give him a call.

Campbell is not leaving the nfl for Texas A&M.

Doesn't matter who we get to come here - results never seem to change.

Culture? What culture, a lot has changed. I graduated from Va Tech, the culture like A&M is no longer. Is that a winning culture? RC, Frank, Steve says hi from year's ago

Elko the flavor of the half season so far..no pressure at Duke 7-5 & 8-4 are successes throw in a 9-3 every so often and they'll build a statue.

A Beamer, Spurrier, Gundy, Bryant, Shug and Fulmers only comes around so often...

What the **** are you even talking about, if Nick Saban was as good of a NFL coach as he is a CFB coach he'd still be coaching in the NFL.

It wasn't Saban's choice that he left the NFL, he was about to be out of a job anyways.

Sabayon basically got Urban Mayere'd at the Dolphins…it was abysmal and a complete failure.
