But yeah, Achane was a better pass threat than our offense was equipped to show. I still maintain that the long ball that Calzada dropped to him in the Bama game is the prettiest ball I've ever seen an Aggie QB throw.
A checkdown to the RB coming out of the backfield doesn't work well if the defense doesn't respect your QB and has everyone within 15 yards of the LOS playing downhill at the snap. Defenses quickly learned not to respect King at all last season, and Johnson was slightly better.Z Team said:
