TCU's Offense had all upperclassmen:

LT: Coleman (RS Jr-Tr) - graduated HS in 2018. 5yrs
LG: Avila (RS Sr) - graduated HS in 2018. 5yrs
OC: Ali (RS Sr-Tr) - graduated HS in 2017. 6yrs
RG: Harris (RS Sr) - graduated HS in 2017. 6yrs
RT: Coker (RS Jr) - graduated HS in 2019. 4yrs
TE: Wiley (Sr-Tr) - graduated HS in 2019. 4yrs
That's 30 yrs expereince on the OL+TE. A&M was at 12. We had 2 starting true Freshmen (Dewberry & Green-TE).

We also went true Freshman at WR (Stewart) and QB (Weigman)

QB: Duggan (Sr)
RB: Miller (Jr)
WRX: Johnston (Jr)
WRZ: Williams (Jr)
WRY: Spivey (RS Sr-Tr)
WRH: Davis (Sr)
4 Transfers

TCU doesn't have a single starter on O that has been in college less than 3 years.

Defense is equally experienced:
Fr: 1
RS So: 1
Jr: 3
RS Jr: 1
Sr: 4
RS Sr: 1
5 of those are Transfers.

If by "coaching" you mean 5-6 years of college coaching... I agree... Remember they went 5-7 last year.are are 23-24 in the 4 years prior to this season. Dykes was 15-7 at SMU prior to joining SMU. Nobody thought he was a HR hire.
great stat. Still need a special QB to make it all work, but experience is paramount unless you have Bama/Georgia level talent.
You are correct that it helps to have that level of talent, but I think it still carries with Bama and Georgia.

Bama has 3 RS Sr, Jr, SO, Fr on their OL+TE. 21 yrs experience
Jr QB
Georgia has 2 RS Jr, 3 RS So, So. <- So 1 with less than 3. 19 yrs

What a story for Dykes and his program/staff in their first year. I think they were picked to finish 7th in conference and ended up 3rd in the nation and 17 minutes from the title game if they don't choke.

Feels very 2000 OU except that was Stoops second year.
