Don't care what anyone says. He changed the culture of HBCU football for the better and paved the way for others to follow in his footsteps. Despite what so many think, no, Jackson St is not an end destination school for a talented coach like Prime.

People all over social media are upset that he is leaving, using some of what he has said in the past about what he was building there as reason to believe he would never leave JSU.

Sitting in a big white leather covered throne, while the guys around you are in hard folding chairs. Every word of his explanations was dripping with egotism, and what is best for him.

Yeah, this guy is a real leader……..

Deion won't stay there more than 2 or 3 years and then move on to something else.

Colorado and new coach Deion Sanders vs. Nebraska and new coach Matt Rhule. Former bitter conference rivals. If that's not hype worthy I don't know what is.

He won't win at Colorado. He could recruit Mississippi players at Jackson. At Colorado, he's going to have to convince California kids to move to a cold climate far away from home. Good luck.

As someone who lives in Colorado - Californians are already moving here just like they are moving to Texas. That won't be the issue.

Money aside, there are a few G5's I'd rather coach at or play for than Colorado.

He totally duped the HBCU. He used them as a stepping stone and nothing more. He turned and took the financial upgrade as soon as that option became available. What a great example to those impressionable young men. Character matters.

Deion was way ahead of his time with regard to self-promotion. Can you imagine Deion with today's social media and NIL? That's what he's going to sell.

Yes……there will continue to be massive Ws for their opponents.

So no one should pursue a promotion? Jimbo Fischer left fsu for more money

I don't blame him any more than I blame Kingsbury moving on to Tceh. I don't why it's frowned upon these days for people to further their careers in other ventures. Will he win at CU? Time will tell. But there's no reason to crap on the guy for trying to better himself. He was absolutely right at the beginning by saying that coaches either get elevated or terminated. Coaching at almost any level is extremely cut throat but it is, after all, a business.

Fascinating hire to say the least. Prime is dripping with self confidence which should translate to his players. I hope he does well…

You do realize that the folding chair was just brought in for the one guy to sit in, right. The white chair and the over plush chairs in the audience are there always.

You DO realize that, right???

Here's Deion's challenge… And I'm sure he understands it…

As you go further up the "Program Food Chain", you find success becomes due less to raw athleticism and more leaning to athleticism, fundamentals, and technique…

At the junior high level, biggest and fastest players win… In HS, more technique and coaching start to come into play… In college, the reason the best teams are the best teams is due as much to coaching and technique as it is to raw athleticism…

Wish him the very best… We'll now see how strong his coaching skills are…

You may want to take a look at CU's current roster and retract this statement.

No kidding, there is a reason CU went to the PAC in the first place.

No ones cares about HBCU's. The ONLY reason it got any play was because espn and First Take pushed the narrative because they are the biggest race baiter of all

Weird speech. Most logical explanation of why he played for so many teams was that he wanted to maximize his income and marketability. Just as he is doing now.

To think that Jackson State wasnt always a stepping stone is just dumb - the nture of the beast is that schools like Jackson State, Sam Houston, hell Arkansas or Purdue even are always stepping stones.

There are maybe - maybe - a half dozen schools that are truly dstination schools. You think Dabo is going to hang out at Clemson when Saban reires and Alabama calls him?

I get that Deion is easy to rag on, his ego has always been his calling card. You could say that for a whole mess of coaches though and you would be exactly right. That is part of being a HFC i college, much less at the higher levels. Give i to Deion for sitting down with his team and telling them up front istead of a phone call like Fran when he left Alabama or them hearing t on ESPN when he is at the CU podium putting hon his ballcap.

Will he succeed at CU? Hell, who knows. I would say not, but that is because nobody has inthe last 30 years there. At least any sustained success. Then again, plenty said he would destroy the Jackson State program and he didnt do that. In fact, he did the opposite IMO.

Sometimes as folks get older they hve a diffrent understanding of the world and life and become a better version of themselves. Honestly hope that is the transition he is ging through and he sustains the mentality and success he has had at ackson when he goes to CU. It will be good for football as a whole, we wshouldall want that. So long as A&M becomes better as a result.

Deion's just moving from one stepping stone program to another. If he has any success at Colorado he will leave again, not that I blame him.

Think you'll change your tune when A&M will lose the most recruits to him. Hiring N Williams is a start.

Those are people who are taxed and regulated to death. Mainly people who are paying the freight for themselves. They aren't kids that have few responsibilities and only see the benefits California offers like weather.

If he was recruiting middle aged parents of families, you'd be right. He's not.

However, I will say I think he'll be mildly successful recruiting. I just wonder what kind of staff he can put in place. I don't know if he realizes what it will take to win not only at the FBS level but at the Pac-12 level.
