I think the best thing Moose can at this point for his livelihood is enter the transfer portal. Jimbo has shown his cards as far as being completely tone deaf when it comes to understanding his teams and what it takes to win.

I hope there is an arm sleeve clause in Jimbo's contract so we can now fire him with cause and save $85 million.

Arm sleeves may have started the conversation, but that can't be why he was benched. Moose had to run his mouth after the initial talk.

Per 247 here is the original version of the tweet. My guess is he was told to take them off and said no. Seems like a stupid rule to me. Is there any legit reason a coach wouldn't want skill players to wear them? Do they reduce grip on the ball and make it easier to fumble? I've seen lots of other WR and RB wearing them.

What a stupid stand for Jimbo to take. Did Moose hurt the team by wearing arm sleeves? Or did Jimbo hurt the team by benching his best player for letting something trivial escalate into something worse? I had overzealous coaches that wouldn't let me wear gloves while receiving. Now every player wears them. This is a coach that has lost all confidence and is now overcompensating by trying to come as the "disciplinarian".

Worth reminding that Fisher (beyond his ludicrous contract) receives huge dollars for wearing certain brands himself.

Based on Moose's statement, I also think he is leaving the program.

If this is true Jimbo needs to be fired because it would mean Jimbo was willing to lose a game, and the last opportunity to potentially still make a bowl game, which gives our young team the opportunity to attain 15 more practices, plus our seniors one more opportunity to put at least one decent game on tape for scouts, all for sleeves that don't have any impact on anything.
