Moose is 100% gone after this season. When he said his teammates and opponents wear them, that means he is not onboard with the decision and things it's dumb. That was a direct dig at the coaching staff.

Agreed. In theory if he leaves this would be a huge loss. We were able to convince an extremely talented player to ride the bench behind Anias and he put his head down and kept working. Got his opportunity and capitalized. If you want to build a real contending roster you need guys like moose willing to sit behind the older player and not transfer.

I suspect Jimbo has a reason for his rule. Bottom line though (and I'm old school)… you do what your coach tells you to do with no back talk if you want to play. IMO, Moose should have done what the coach asked at the game and then discussed it in more detail with Jimbo after the game if he wanted to. So, this is on Moose IMO. I know in the participation trophy era I'm in the minority on this one.

If this is on Moose I would like to hear why. It seems like he went out for the opening kick, the coaches noticed he was wearing sleeves and put him on the bench for the rest of the game when he came off after the kick. The picture indicates the sleeves were standard. There's just nothing rational about what we've heard about this. If Fisher told the entire team not to wear them for the coldest game of the year I would like to know why the hell not.

That's fine to feel that way, and typically I'm right there with you, but as a coach you can't be changing rules or expectations from one game to another like that either.

Would 30 or more players exiting the program through the portal classify as "cause".

One of the tweet comments said that the rule was for the skill players because Jimbo believes the sleeves become slick in cold weather and make one more fumble-prone...

Which begs the question - do actual analytics exist as to the friction of sleeves at various temperatures?

At any rate, if this is true, I could see where Moose was told to remove them, and either refused or talked back, and was subsequently benched.

Manning is an inbred-looking 3-star who is a goofy dipsht who will be hilarious to laugh at every year, like Ewers is fking awful too. Manning is even worse than Ewers. Lol

Guerrila Squad was the WR core name that Chris Taylor and TMurph started about twenty years ago (akin to the wrecking crew moniker). I didn't think it stuck after them, but that's all he's referring to.

As a coach, I could see the reasoning for not wanting arm sleeves on skill position players, especially WRs. Sleeves are easier to hold onto and not likely to get you a holding call. If there's game film of him having trouble getting off the line because of arm sleeves, I call it out to him. If that's not the case, at some point you have to pick your battles. Jimbo is a man who is no longer picking his battles, he's fighting everyone on everything which just shows he's lost control.

I know coaches that have this rule for skills players, especially KR/PR because the feel of the ball is lost with those on. And they are slick when cold or wet. Moose was suspended already this am guaranteed.

Moose us in his 3rd year and has literally done nothing. He almost single handedly cost us the Arkie game.

Now... 9 games into his 3rd year sleeves are suddenly so important to him?

Is Moose trying to prove something or take advantage of Jimbo's situation?

Bottom line is we win if Moose is in instead of Preston and Price. This SH** is bad.
