T-sip here, I come in peace.

This is the stupidest damn reason I've ever heard for benching someone - even though it was probably for insubordination. I'm hoping Manning slides into his DMs.

Every in-law I have is Aggie, this is going to be a fun chat over the turkey…

Come in peace my azzz as state you hope Manning does more neg recruiting and fun times as you choke ur small turkey passive aggressive way. Go away

I think the most logical thing to assume is that he walked onto the field wearing arm sleeves like always, and without any prior discussion, Jimbo just pointed at him and said "I see arm sleeves...you're suspended".

If a kid just straight up refuses to do what hes told thats a problem. That's totally outside of how good a job the coach is doing coaching. You just can't do that and expect to play. If the coach allows it then the rest of the team is done listening to anything as well. Of course we may be at that point already

There's more to this story than we know at this time.
On the surface this sleeve issue makes no sense.

Arm sleeves? This is the reason we occupy the basement? Arm sleeves. Got it. You go get'em, Jim.

Moose us in his 3rd year and has literally done nothing. He almost single handedly cost us the Arkie game.

Now... 9 games into his 3rd year sleeves are suddenly so important to him?

Is Moose trying to prove something or take advantage of Jimbo's situation?

He's been allowed to wear sleeves until now. The inconsistency is on Jimbo's part, not Moose's. Part of the reason he hasn't done anything until this year was that Jimbo wouldn't play him. The few times he has been on the field the last 12 months, he has balled out. And unlike many players who would have transferred after not playing one season, Moose has stuck around and waited his turn, and is now getting benched for something that had never been a problem.

Jimbo needs to be fired or stripped of OC and play calling duties.

Moose needs to do exactly what is asked of him.

Benched for wearing arm sleeves? Under our worthless AD, athletics has become nothing but glorified baby sitting. Lol. He's a yes man that is nothing more than a cheerleader whose job is to con money from doners.

May as well throw him into this dumpster fire. He needs to go with Fisher.

Moose got his feelings hurt, was already headed to the portal after the season, and this is him trolling the entire program as a big F you on the way out. I don't care what his hashtags say as it is part of the troll itself. There IS more to this. Once again, social media is being used as a weapon.

And some of you are falling for it.

How many of you would support this suspension if we were undefeated AND won yesterday?

He's the coach. The reasoning is irrelevant. He said they can't wear them so they can't wear them. If he lets Moose wear them than he's completely lost the locker room. He may have lost the locker room anyway, but this was his best play.

He should have kow-towed to a 19 year old child? The national champion head coach?

Did you play football? Have you coached it?

He's already lost the locker room. He has players smoking Mary Jane in the damm visiting locker room after a loss. He has a few kids that have been head down and playing hard despite all this turmoil, and he suspends one of them for wearing the same thing he has worn since he has been here.

Do you think the conversation was a very reasoned explanation on why he and the team would be better off not wearing the sleeves? Or do you think it went down as Jimbo or one of the assistants screaming that if he gets on the field with those dumba$$ sleeves that he's gonna sit on the bench the rest of the game?

there's probably a lot of truth in that, but there's no way he sits them if we are playing for something meaningful, and that's inconsistent.

Jimbo is running the old-school disciplinarian play out of desperation after having already lost the locker room…but at his peak he was letting ole crabs legs play.

And some of you are falling for that.

Yes, both. But I don't think my experience at a rural high school level 30 years ago has much to do with the situation. But go ahead and tell us about that pigskin uncle Rico.

This a billion-dollar business, not Carthage high school football.

And the fact that you still think of him as a "national championship coach" shows that you're living in the past in all aspects. He has recruited and developed the worst team in living Aggie history.

And how do you think he won that national championship anyway? By espousing old school Texas high school football values or by looking the other way while stars stole crab legs and groped Uber drivers?

It would be one thing if Moose hadn't been wearing the sleeves all year. But taking a stand on something so trivial with three games left is just dumb.

OK - fine. He's the coach and he has rules and if players won't follow said rules there are consequences.

But really? Are arm leaves really that big of a deal. If the kid has demonstrated he can play and perform with them and wants to wear them, let 'em. Just seems like a stupid rule to me.

By the way, has he worn arm sleeves in any other games this year? Is this possibly the reason he wasn't getting playing time earlier this season?

Maybe there is more to the story.

100% there's more to the story and I seriously doubt Moose is blameless here…

But in order to be a leader and command respect you have to do your end of the job too. Jimbo has proven that he is a used car salesman and a fraud. Of course players are rebelling against him. They didn't sign up for this mess.

Why does the hfc care if the players wear arm sleeves or not? Is there some kind of increase in fumbling instance with arms sleeves?

Don't think this is the whole story.

Well if you're going to flex, then flex properly. What are your bona fides and why is it that your opinion is more valuable?

If you are secretly Devonta Freeman and can give us some insight into Jimbo & how he runs a program then Im all ears.

I would be very surprised if Jimbo is not trying to get fired at this point.

It appears as if something went south, maybe App State snd Jimbo doesn't like it.

He's trying to force hand of firing vs resigning.

OR maybe Jimbo shouldn't be making stupid rules with three games left and picking a fight with one of our best players over it? Especially when he's not applying that rule to other players
