Maybe Durkin was vaping in the locker room as well and Jimbo just didn't catch him?

There is constantly a double team at the point of attack with a 3 man front. Very few great DL can defeat a double consistently let alone freshman against SEC level OL. Not a great recipe for succes.

A&M's scoring defense is 39th in the country at 22.9 pts/gm.

If we had a real offense that could do better than 5 three and outs to start every second half, IMO they'd be top 20.

And we don't constantly run a 3-3-5 or 3-2-6. There have been 4 DL plenty of times this year.

I get we all have a very bad case of BAS this fall, but the over the top criticism of Durkin is borderline neurotic.

I haven't seen an Aggie defense going back to the 70s that was as incapable of containing the edges as our current Defense. Durkin has had time to coach up, improve our preparation and performance between games/losses and it just hasn't happened….I attended the Florida game this year and knew Durkin wasn't our guy after watching Anthony Richardson run a quarterback sweep to the right side of the field for an 81 yard touchdown run……untouched I might add. Durkin, get him the hell outta here!!

Relying in defensive backs to set the edge doesn't work in the SEC.

Why would you use a 3-4 defense with the dearth of talent at the LB position when compared to how extremely stacked the DL stable is? Is there an actual football reason for this that I'm just too much of an armchair DC to understand?
