Why would you use a 3-4 defense with the dearth of talent at the LB position when compared to how extremely stacked the DL stable is? Is there an actual football reason for this that I'm just too much of an armchair DC to understand?

I miss Elko. He sucked everywhere he has gone. This had to be a pitty hire. UF was so happy to see him go.
Durkin was definitely a bad hire. The worst hire looks like Addazio.

Sometimes it is a 4-1-6 which still makes no sense. These boys CANT get off a block and they seem to always miss the hike they are assigned to

A few weeks ago I was willing to give DUrkin the benefit of the doubt, but now I think he needs to go. We need a complete overhaul. Get rid of every assistant expect maybe 2.
he is not bad, just mediocre. we need better.
Durkin took us backwards on D well before injuries piled up. Elko was capable of winning an MNC at DC. Our current DC is not. Being mediocre should not be the standard.
Addazio, Dickey, and Durkin all need to be tossed at minimum this year but I expect Fisher to disappoint us. There will be some notion of stubbornness in whatever he does this off-season

If we had a real offense that could do better than 5 three and outs to start every second half, IMO they'd be top 20.
And we don't constantly run a 3-3-5 or 3-2-6. There have been 4 DL plenty of times this year.
I get we all have a very bad case of BAS this fall, but the over the top criticism of Durkin is borderline neurotic.

It's playing with fire to be this bad against the run and say well it's only 22 points a game. Which is good in todays football. But again it's asking for trouble to not be good against the run.
Run defense has been horrible, no doubt, but the total lack of offensive production has killed not only the season but the defense as well. The defense, with a lot of issues, can't carry the offensive woes.

No it's not, his defense sucks and has since the beginning of the season. App state reamed his D.
The dude rolled out 3 DL vs Ole Miss, the best rushing offense, that's just stupid. Kiffin crammed it down his ass in less than 2 mins running the ball.
The O sucks but so does Durkins schemes.
