Wier released an album called Black Hat Saloon. Wonder if it was named for the bar.

Damn, that Mama's Pizza was good.
Nope, my brother who was the managing partner (but a smaller partner) named the bar for the album. He and everyone else was caught by surprise when the lease was sold. I was so bummed with the sale, I never ate at Mama's Pizza.

Fitzwillys!!! "Studied" there about 3 times a week. The beer and half pound burger deal was…. $4.50 or something ridiculous.

Texas Hall of Fame was definitely the weekend spot.

Shadow Canyon. Knew all the bartenders so the drinks were cheap. Not a lot of people there so it was nice to hang out upstairs. It was fun on Karaoke night.

I was also 2008-2012

O'Bannons was on a level of its own then. Place was always packed and always a great time

Below that would be the Chicken, Dry Bean, and Cedar Lane, and Hall of Fame before it closed

What was place across from Tap that had the volleyball pit. Spent alot of nights there my junior year. Mostly Duds through Grad school.

Mutt Jeff in Fullerton Cal across from CSUFullerton and Mutt Lynch at the Newport Beach Pier, both owned by guess who? The Mutt Family. Pretty certain Jeff has been shut down as CSUF bought the property for campus expansion, but the Newport location is still there. Believe me, the scenery is still outstanding. Best on the coast from Seal Beach south to Del Mar. Remember now, I graduated from Fullerton in '76. Just saying.

Friday catfish plate after classes was our go to. Then it was downhill after that. There were several occasions Ive forgotten my backpack there and had to come back at closing or the next day. Surprisingly it was always still under the table where I'd left
