Rooster screeching all thru the game on their loud speaker was just awful and annoying.

We were there for the One Trick Pony game and beat the 'Cocks 45-28 or so. First game after JFF left and I think it was a Thurs night game. Remember, Williams Brice is Bobby Bouche's Mud Bowl too. Liberty Bar & Grill was fun, Midnight Yell was funny, Carolina students were screaming at us when the TV cameras were on and when the cameras went off, they stopped yelling. The whole thing was staged. Stayed in Charleston, met some good people, had some good times, but the Columbia people are still fighting the Civil War.

The area immediately around the stadium is not all that great (a few steps better than the Cotton Bowl). Once you get into the actual town and near campus, it's actually pretty nice. Check out Gervais Street and downtown if you make the trip.

Before moving here, I was expecting Columbia to be similar to Austin. I was pleasantly surprised.
