USC has now also claimed the '39 National Championship, of course we've claimed 2 others, 1919 and 1927. If everyone's grabbing them, why not us. I know Bama has a couple of iffy ones.

It's crazy that my grandad was already about 15 years removed from being a student in '38/'39. He was '25, EKG's classmate. He took me to my 1st game in the late 60's, tongue spread sandwiches behind Kyle, that was tailgating. He was rocking a suit, there's a picture somewhere.

So Dave implies the single wing includes a quarterback position. Was that really true? I thought the two deep backs were called tailback and fullback. If there was a quarterback position, which is it. Or, is he just referring to the player who calls the plays.

I only played part of one season in a single wing, and I don't remember much about it.

Saw him play in Austin - Ran for 75- 80 yards- Tu won though 7-0.
