For the fourth time in five seasons, Texas A&M is off to a 1-0 start to the Southeastern Conference schedule following a 75-72 victory over LSU on Saturday afternoon at Reed Arena. For a bubble team like the Aggies, the win was incredibly important, even in the early season.

The Aggies start SEC play 1-0 for the fourth time in the last five seasons, thanks to a late surge to overpower LSU with their full-court pressure. In a series that was once dominated by the Tigers, A&M has won six of the last seven meetings and is one step closer to sweeping LSU for the third time in four seasons.

With that said, here are my thoughts on Saturday’s win:
