Buncha wokeness up in here....
If you want to argue she's not qualified, that's fine. But to say somebody isn't qualified because they didn't play the game at the same level they're coaching is a really bad take.4 said:
She can add absolutely zero value in this case. For a fact, she has never played baseball. And she sure as hell has never played it at the level she's coaching at right now. And every guy on the team she coaches knows it.

Yes, her role exists only because she's a woman. And watching hundreds of giants games, I've concluded that no one really knows what she's actually a coach of. But her coaching first last night wasn't her role, as she went in out of necessity. And considering it was a blow out, it was a pretty ideal time to do what would have been inevitable anyway.
Eh so you seriously think she would have that job if she wasn't a woman? Not to virtue signal? Again, her coaching position is a mystery to most people, and that isn't really what matters. I have no clue what she coaches, and honestly don't care. I know almost all the other coaches on the team and what they do, but after a few years with the team all anyone ever talks about her in relation to her position is that she's a woman. And she used to play softball, that is brought up occasionally. What matters is that she's the first woman coach, and the giants get to brag about that to the world. I am a huge giants fan, so I watch almost all the games and love the local broadcasts (thank you vpn), but no one ever comments on her work as a coach. Not once. Only that she's a woman and that she's the first. Shouldn't the work she does matter more than what she's got between her legs? I don't care if she's a woman, as long as she is there because she belongs there, not as a person to parade out there to say she's the first. And that she does a good job. Results are what matters, not being able to focus on things like this.
That said, she did a good job coaching first last night. So i have no reason to believe she can't do the job. I just wish they'd focus on that over what sex she is.
By that logic Mike Leach adds zero value to his teams since he never played football at the college level and all of his players know it! You can learn a sport without playing it. It isn't like the Giants just put her in the coaching staff she worked with the organization for years in health and wellness (so it can be assumed her role relates to strength and conditioning) she put in the hours and got promoted. She played softball and has a masters is sports management, which while not major league experience does make her adequately qualified to be a bench coach. She has also coached at first base in Spring Training prior to the Tuesday game. Are there better coaches more than likely, is she unqualified, to me that is a no.4 said:

Women have no business in men's sport!!!!! The ones that are, are nothing but tokens, if they are allowed then let Lia continue to swim. Women want it both ways!!
