It's crazy to me that a major news organization genuinely did not see the humor with that picture.

I was wondering if I was the only one who realized that this picture was chosen intentionally…Conchovalleyag said:

I am a San Francisco Giants fan, and I was streaming some of the San Diego Padres vs San Francisco Giants game on mlbstream.tv last night. At the end of the Giants' 13-2 win over the Padres, I noticed Alyssa Nakken taking over as the first base coach.

Yes, her role exists only because she's a woman. And watching hundreds of giants games, I've concluded that no one really knows what she's actually a coach of. But her coaching first last night wasn't her role, as she went in out of necessity. And considering it was a blow out, it was a pretty ideal time to do what would have been inevitable anyway.

I can picture all the marketing execs at Coca Cola headquarters trying to figure out how they can capitalize on this.

I'd let her wave me imto home.
Apples and Oranges man, competing is way different than coaching, if she can add value to her team cool. Same goes for men coaching women's sports if they do good then cool.aeon-ag said:
Women have no business in men's sport!!!!! The ones that are, are nothing but tokens, if they are allowed then let Lia continue to swim. Women want it both ways!!

She can add absolutely zero value in this case. For a fact, she has never played baseball. And she sure as hell has never played it at the level she's coaching at right now. And every guy on the team she coaches knows it.

Gary Blair never played women's basketball. How did he manage coaching it all those years? Wired.

I don't know this for a fact, but I'm going to guess he played basketball.
And whatever league he played in was more competitive than the equivalent women's league.
Gary Blair proved he can coach a winning women's basketball team. He didn't get the position because of his gender, but because of his results. Sounds to me like the Giants fans on here don't even know what this lady coaches or why she's on the team other than the fact that she's a woman and they get the "me first" bragging rights.rootube said:4 said:
