They did have a better season on paper. But no doubt in my mind that our team this year could have went 10-2 in the big 12. Maybe 9-3 at worse.

And Baylor would have would have done no better than 9-3 with our schedule. But I really think they would have done worse than that.

How do they do it? It's easy when the school administration encourages the players to rape the female students. You get some pretty beastly characters on campus that way, but I wouldn't condone the practice. We're better than that.

I kind of lean toward GigEmTx opinion here. I believe there are some shady deals that have been going down at Baylor, but I could be wrong...

I don't begrudge Baylor any success..i have a sister who went there and she is enjoying their sports right now as usually Baylor is in the headlines for all the wrong reasons.
But long-term sustained success in football would require Baylor to compete with some of the elite SEC schools that are sustaining (in A&M's case building) long-term highly ranked programs such as Alabama and Georgia.
Congrats to Baylor for having what is considered a decent year by SEC standards.
But we shall see what happens long-term...which is the real measurement of any program.
Aranda is a good coach...but will he be poached by an SEC school?
If he has success...unfortunately Baylor will find out the answer soon enough.
All of the current Big-12 members after 2025 will find out what life will be like as a perceived lower-tiered conference.
Basketball in that conference should be good with Baylor, Houston, Kansas and Cincinnati.
But Big-12 football (and baseball for that matter) will suffer long-term as the lions share of recruits will be going to SEC schools.
That is already happening now...but it will only be exacerbated when t.u and OU leave.
The Big-12 will be perceived as the new AAC.

All this hand wringing. jeez! last year they won 2 games and this summer they were on literal death watch and circling the drain after two other schools said they were leaving their conference.

yeah, a "better program". some of you, puhleeeeeeez!

As long as Mack Rhodes is their ad, they'll have good teams. He's good at hiring coaches. If he ever leaves, they should worry.

I can't figure why some of you get all pissy over it. Baylor has a very good Athletics program and have recently had more success than us. Their men's roundball team is ranked number 1, and their football team just put a beating on a team that put a beating on us.

Watching their game last night, I couldn't imagine us beating them this year either with our Less experienced QB and OLine.

But longer term, watch out for us…….

This thread is a bit ridiculous. Baylor football went 2-7 last year. 2-7! They were also 1-11 in 2017. They had a great year this year.
