OP's idea is about the most Aggie thing ever. I don't mean that is a good way.

There are a bunch of folks on here that have not had to live and play with t.u. for the last 10 years. They do not have a clue about t.u. and the place it has in liberal old school Texas politics. It goes much, much deeper than the football field. The majority culture in this state will always coddle to the mighty golden child of "The University of Texas. This is why they have never been investigated in referee scandal's or recruiting violations. These young kids don't know about the political pressure that got SMU the death penalty when SMU started becoming very relevant in the SWC. And how t.u. controlled the Dallas Morning News on breaking that story.
I pray all will be well as I love Aggie football but I am old army and remember for too long how we have been manipulated and screwed by t.u. time and time again. We had some really good years with the RC days and Sherrill but we could not keep it up because at the end of the day we could not recruit the talent. Most went to Texas and OU.
Our life changed with Johnny and the SEC and recently getting Jimbo. But Make no mistake about it..........given any opportunity Texas and OU will be given the nod for help within the SEC and the CFP if it arises.
How would it have gone in the playoffs this last year if Texas or OU would have been in the SEC with the same record we had? I would have made a huge bet that one of them would have been playing in the playoffs just because they are Texas and OU.

Just heard a beat reporter from OK say that tu is 6th in winning percentage in the BDF over the past 10 years. Let that sink in a bityea, tu is back.

If we are talking stupid ideas, A&M should convince Arkansas, UH, and SMU to jump ship with them back to the Big 12 and A&M could be king of SWC 2.0 hahaha
