today was Iowa State's 4th ever win vs. the longhorns. (2010, 2015, 2019, 2020)

and second win in Austin (2010, 2020)

What's really sad is this sip team has lost to have nots tcu and Iowa state yet they were still in the hunt for the BDF CCG until this loss.

Iowa State has improved to 7-2 (7-1 in Big 12 games) and dropped Texas to 5-3 (5-2 in Big 12 games). Also, Iowa State has moved one step closer to their Big 12 Championship Game appearance since 1912.

If Oklahoma State had beaten Texas on 10/31, Texas would have been eliminated. They also were very fortunate to beat Texas Tech 63-56 after trailing 56-41 late in the 4th quarter.

That should do it for Herman. Losing at home with a senior QB to ISU. It would be one thing if the season was going well and this was a "I just don't understand it" game, but this is the type of thing they should expect from Herman going forward.

hate to say it...but the sips' final drive...is why teams play prevent defense.

only rushing 3 or 4...and dropping 7 or 8 worked this time.

hard to believe the sips could only go 40 yards in 1:20 with 2 timeouts against such a soft zone

Exactly. When he went for it, I wondered if that stupid decision would come back to haunt him. Between that and the fake punt, Tommy may have sealed his fate.

What is the record for the number of fired coaches on the payroll? t.u. may try to win that prize after this year.
