OU is very likely overrated and a product of a soft schedule, but the committee had to put somebody In that 4th spot. What team was the alternatives? The Big Ten and ACC had nobody, Oregon had 2 losses out in the Pac, and LSU already thumped both Alabama and Florida in the SEC (plus those two already have 2 losses).

There wasn't a no-brainer 4th team.

At one point during the CFB Playoff Special, even one of the analysts noted that all they had been talking about the whole show was LSU, OSU, and Clemson and asked the others if this meant that no one really thought OU mattered. All agreed that it was an afterthought.

Maybe, but Aggies moving to the SEC was the dumbest decision if winning championships is the goal. Aggies hatred for UT and running to the SEC will keep them average for a very long time.
No one respects your conference, and no one wants Baylor so keep peeking out of the skirts of sip and OU and do as they say.

This is so Aggie to say this. Aggies care more about the conference they are in than being relevant and in playoff discussion. Keep on hyping your conference and being a win for LSU, bama, and Auburn and being an afterthought come November/December. Arkansas left the swc and had same fate.... Nebraska/Colorado/Mizzou/Aggies are all the same. Prediction... Baylor will make it to playoff before Aggie and okie st beats you in bowl.
Yeah because you making the playoff and losing by 40 proves your point.

Your conference sucks. You've never won a CFP playoff game and you won't this year. Everyone - and I mean everyone - thinks it's a disgrace that an abortion of a conference gets a spot to be a spit pig for real teams. But hey, we will laugh if you make it and get humiliated. Congrats on admitting you want to get into a playoff you don't deserve.

Oh and I"m too lazy to look it up but I believe we were something like 20-1-1 against you before we left. The only thing we lament about leaving the conference are the gimme wins over Baylor. Even when you were compromising your fake Baptist morals and bringing in convicts and raping women on the reg we were beating you. That has to suck.

Winning doesn't suck. Good luck vs OSU. You're gonna need it. Aggies have to revert to calling names and hiding behind LSU and Bama. You say the big 12 is an abortion? Aggies are a joke among all conferences even your beloved SEC.

What have you won?

This is has been my stance until I just now went and looked up the numbers. A number one seed has never won the playoff. 4 seeds are 2-0 when making it to the final game. This year notwithstanding maybe there is more parity at the top than people originally assumed.

And that's with getting up for that one big game. OU's playoff opponents have played a much more intense and physical schedule leading up to that point.

The committee wanted Alabama but Tua got hurt and OU checked all the boxes. It's really simple. Oregon and Utah screwed up.

I think the best four teams are close enough and conferences that didn't get teams in in previous years get to watch what happens when they win that argument in committee...

OU would be a 1-2 loss team. Baylor probably a 3-4. OU would be 1/2 in the west the last 3 years.

Ou lost 1 game with their current crap schedule. With ours they'd surely lose at least 3. Sip lurkers need to gtfo.

He think he's a sooner masking as an Aggie. Look at his post history. He literally only posts about OU and the big 12 since he registered 3 years ago. Seriously every post is OU/Big12 related.

People keep complaining about the Aggies schedule. Easy solution. Get out of the SEC. Alabama,LSU, Auburn and others will be there EVERY year.
And Clemson and Georgia on the road won't.

To be fair, the meth heads kinda earned it by default. Utah and Oregon washed each other out, Utah getting beat by the team that lost to the #3 (maybe #4) SEC team. ACC is trash beyond Clemson. B1G had some possibilities but Minnesota and Pedo St came up short when they had the chance. Look, until they actually go with the 4 best teams and quit kissing conference commissioner ass, this is the way it's going to be.

And Baylor fan......you're laughable. Pat yourself on the back all you want. You've had a good year no doubt. But you failed to step up twice against ZeroU. You were absolutely GIFTED a win against a 4 win tech team. And your savior is gone by the time the 2021 season starts because you're a stepping stone. For you to throw stones because we had the foresight to join the best conference in the country, especially at a time where it looked like we were gonna get curbstomped by doing so.....piss off. You'd get absolutely rolled playing our schedule and you know it. Heed The Rock's advice..........

Yeah, which is why A&M fired their coaches (Fran and Sleepy Sherman). Sumlin had one 7 win season and it cost him his job, despite kicking the frap outta blow u by 4 touchdowns in the 2013 Cotton Bowl and playing in the best conference in college football. Herman beat a 4 win tceh team to reach his 7th win and is taken off the hot seat and given job security.

Why does an accomplished Sooner care so much about what others think? (Especially when aTm and OU won't play anytime soon)
You do realize, you fools are the ones, on YOUR board calling out Oklahoma.

Mostly because every college forum is talking about the CFPs and there were multiple teams in the SEC much better than the dumpster fire champions and runners-up. You do realize there are numerous sip, land thief, and baylor fans that obsessively frequent this site under the guise of SEC hating Aggies? Texas A&M has been out of the Big 12 for 7 years, but I guess you folks miss the Aggies. What other forums do you vehemently and faithfully e-defend your beloved Sooners? Seems tiring, but what else is there to do in Oklahoma??

Meth. Granted he could be a meth head and on here so who knows.

Other than the top 3, no one else belongs, yet people still want to expand to 8 teams.
And this is the exact group think that everyone falls for. That in order to belong you have to have flawless record.

Letting them in every year only to get destroyed is the only way morons on the cfp committee will learn.
Right, so aTm is intentionally not getting in to avoid being destroyed? Wait that makes no sense, you guys are already getting destroyed and you don't need to be in the playoffs for that to happen.

Hi troll. Hope you are enjoying the BDF. Good luck when it dissolves.

Then they will be in the SEC and your life just gets harder

Says the dude that predicted LSU wouldn't be able to score more than 17 points on the sips! *snicker*
