Given what I've seen out of Sharp, he seems to fit the mold of the kind of guy who'd deny a superior incumbent a deserved raise and then go throw more money at an inferior successor than it would have taken to keep the incumbent.
The best AD we have had in a long time just came from a PAC 12 school. I would seriously consider Oregon's AD. Originally from West Virginia so could help get along with Jimbo. Also like Hocutt. If we open the purse strings make a run at Castiglione at Oklahoma. Auburn's AD just started last year from Buffalo. Not sure if he leaves that quickly.

Then why in the hell didn't we give Woodward a raise??? Reading between the lines here but seems like we didn't want to pay him what it would take to keep him here. If so I don't see how we're going to go pay another AD that kind of money unless out admin has really lost it...

What established AD would want A&M right after football and basketball jobs are filled? Hell I could drive this bus for this next 5 years.
I can't believe we are paying Sharp $900,000 a year. That's outrageous. A job like that should be done gratis as an act of public service. I once served on a state board and it didn't pay a damn thing for this very reason.
Kirby Hocutt at ttu would be worth looking in to. I like what he's done so far at tech.
Yeah right; he is making way more $$$ than we were paying the previous AD and while he has done well in hiring coaches in sports besides football, he has really F'd that up. If you really want to go back to 7-5 football records, hire this guy; if Jimbo leaves, we will get a coach that fits the 7-5 mold.

Whit Babcock is a highly respected AD. Should also be much appreciated by Buzz.

As a Clemson grad I would love for you to take Radakovich off our hands. Then maybe we can get an AD with the balls to fire a crappy basketball coach after 9 years of mediocrity. Dabo was already there when he arrived, so the success of the football team has little to nothing to do with him.

As long as he makes Jimbo happy, that's all that really matters. Meaning we need an AD who is basically a Jimbo yes man, and that person needs the full 100 % support of the Resident and the BOR.
Might as well acknowledge what RC's hire means: Sharp is the AD. He's the Jerry Jones of Texas A&M.

You apparently haven't tried to hire a football coach at TT. They know going in that the good players other than QB are going to us, UT or OU.
