The typical arrogant, elitist Aggie bashing sip should not be allowed on Kyle Field at a football game. And that's most of them. The millennials have no experience interacting with them. When they do, they will know where this old is coming from. And that does not include the acolytes of the press. We just need that bunch anymore. Period.
I think you are wrong. But not for the reason you may think. We don't need to play sip. On that point we agree.
However, if you think the SJW generation would change their mind about sip based on spending time with them, you are wrong. The current students and recently former students are aligned more with sip than they are with the older Ags.
That is painful to say, but it is true nonetheless.
Young and his ilk are not a result of some poor decision made by a few rogue regents. He is, and is intended to be, the representation of making Texas A&M look like all of the other bastions of higher education. Our leadership doesn't want to be better than tu Austin, they want to be them. They want to be UC Berkley. They want to be viewed as the progressive, liberal institution competing with the other progressive, liberal institutions.
And that is seen in our leadership, in our student body, but mostly in our faculty.
The evidence for that is clear and it is indisputable.
