Good showing by the 12th man tonight in Florida!
since jack bednarz can't post a pic I can't tell if this is backhanded complement-level trolling or a real complement.AggieWeatherman20 said:

I commented on all the empty seats last night. Why were we not playing in the game LSU played in today? We finished second in the West?

Jacksonville and Tampa are just bad destinations considering how far most of us would have to travel (look at the crowd size for the Outback Bowl). Orlando would likely see a much better crowd since there is a larger draw for families with other activities in the area.

The game had very little draw for me. I can name 15 other teams I'd have rather played in the top 25. I like NC State, but it was not a good bowl draw this year.
Since the Texas Bowl is in our backyard, the Gator Bowl was better from an exposure standpoint. Nothing else was that great about it, but Jimbo getting to go back to Florida with his new team...and win big...could help recruiting in Florida.monarch said:
Kinda like why I wanted the Texas Bowl instead; in our backyard and we would have sold more tickets...location, location, location.

If the reported number was 38k, the real attendance was probably.
yep, the worst fears of the Florida bowls came true. College Station is too far awayAggie said:
Well.. guess we won't be invited back to a Florida bowl anytime soon
and yep again. There's a very good reason why A&M is always in the running for the Texas Bowlmonarch said:

It was a meaningless bowl played 12-15 hours from where most of us live. I'm surprised there were that many.
Most of us have better uses for the $300+ per person it would've cost to go out there.
