Place was near George Bush/Wellborn and used Velveeta cheese on everything. Worst Tex Mex I've ever had.
.
Here's a second for Jose's. I have fond memories of taking my now wife on dates there. They're super friendly and the food is good.Baron de Bastrop said:
Jose's is also very solid Mexican food, another Monterrey family. Plain atmosphere but good food and their Margaritas are very good.

Can you sit on this old porch while eating?Txmoe said:
Best is the steaming, greasy plate of enchiladas with lots of cheese and onions and a guacamole salad. You can get'em down at the LaSalle Hotel in old downtown with iced tea and a waitress (and she will smile every time).
But what if I own a chihuahua?aeon-ag said:Dog Food!!aggies1960 said:

I love how everyone is a food critic these days and "too good" for places like Chuy's.

Polly's cocina used to be Mi cocina and yes they are now next to a gas station on Rock Prairie and Wellborn. They are a GREAT hole in the wall restaurant and Polly is super sweet. Their fajitas are so good and their salsa is really good as well. Try it if you never have.
