Don't mean to bump three times in a row but just saw where AL.com published a story about his Auburn visit.

No mention of Texas A&M but there are some notable quotes:

Quote:

"Auburn is just SEC; I think that is the best way to differentiate them, is the conferences," Anderson said Sunday. "Every conference is known for a different thing. I think SEC is just a bigger -- I don't know. Big is what comes to mind. It's like a synonym. Bigger opponents, bigger stage, bigger platform."

Quote:

"A lot of it speaks for itself," Anderson said. "Obviously SEC football is the biggest football you can play at the collegiate level. I think some of the other things I was impressed with was the marketing strategy and the things they do with the SEC Network. They showed me the camera they have downstairs where they do ESPN interviews. They showed me the specific plan they'll have for me with the seven months I'll be here, so that was really good to see."
Quote:

Anderson's trip to Auburn will be a "big factor" in his final decision.

"I think they helped themselves greatly," Anderson said. "I already thought pretty highly of Auburn and I didn't know much about it, and now that I know a lot more than I did, I think they went from being great to more great."

It sounds like he only looked at Auburn due to the SEC. Should be interesting if Turner and Co get a chance to show him the A&M side of the SEC + the chance to play Clemson + NFL marketing possibilities.

Wow. He must be slow like the rest of us here on TexAgs. If only the rocket scientist sip on this thread could show him his little maps and explain his blackness to him maybe he could see the light. Or could it be that he watches the NFL and sees the facts for himself.

Feel free to dispute the data. Will you already? You can't because it's factual. SEC has the most 4 and 5 Star high school recruits as a region. Per capita it's THE biggest advantage for the SEC. No other region is as fertile. Texas, the urban areas and East Texas. In Cali, it's LA. Detroit. Chicago, Miami, etc, etc. this isn't Rocket Surgery. Black demographics. Follow the heat maps. And this dude goes to Texas in the end. OMG! Texas is going to have a OT picked top 10 in the 2018 NFL draft. That's impossible right because he did not play in the SEC!

Nice sip. Way to claim to a guy who got coached for 4 years somewhere else and gets drafted after one season with kissy face. Guess Garrett Gilbert was yours too.

If Anderson is making a pure business decision, Auburn or Michigan makes the most sense.

2017 Top 10 Most Watched CFB Games of the Week (13 Week Regular Season)

Michigan 9
Auburn 6
Texas A&M 5
Texas 5

-------------------

Just going solely off 2017 performance, there is an obvious difference between Anderson's current Top 3 teams. Auburn and Michigan offer high visibility, high talent football. Texas is a tier below.

Also, Auburn is the only team with a preseason Heisman favorite (Stidham) and a legitimate chance to reach their conference championship game.

The other factor is that Auburn has the SEC Network, Michigan has the B1G Network, and Texas plays their rivalry game on FS1.

Even as a late addition, Texas A&M offers more promise in the 3 slot than Texas. Austin has the emotional advantage, that's about it.

Looks to me like A&M is the ONLY one of these teams offering 3 top 10 opponents, so at worst, I'd call it a tie between Auburn and TAMU, but really it looks to me like TAMU offers the best set of opponents.

Michigan plays more ranked teams and also 3 top 10 teams: #5, #7 and #8

Hey you're back. Thought you ran off after being shown that the big 12 has no valid excuses for not developing talent.

Texas A&M jumped in too late. He's taking a final visit to OU then deciding between his top 4.

If he and the Ohio State kid both pick Texas, then there is no excuse imaginable why Texas should have a poor offensive line. It would be all on the coaches as they have the experienced QB, RB, receivers, TE and now Oline.

No excuses just results.

I don't think OU jumped in any earlier than A&M. I've never heard of this guy until every sip got on here claiming he's their oline savior. Not concerned.

Anderson announced he was transferring on 1/23 and OU had an offer in place 1/25. A&M threw out an offer on NSD with no visits. Prior to his official announcement, OU was at his home 1/18 along with many other schools (Tenn, Vandy, and Auburn from the SEC).

He's a great guy who was worth a flyer and, judging by his Auburn statements, desires a lot of what A&M can offer. If Texas does get him, he's a solid pick up. Either way, best wishes for him.

Just wanted to update that Anderson went undrafted. Picked up by NE as a UFA.

Grad transferring to Texas provided no benefit for his draft stock.
