We offered Anderson on signing day. He's a graduate transfer from Rice that looks to be an NLF level LT. He originally narrowed his list to Texas, Michigan, and Auburn. He's finishing his undergrand in Mathematical Economic Analysis and is being very analytical with his second recruitment, including analyzing which team gives him the hardest schedule to play in order to make it to the NFL.

Any thoughts on actually landing him? He stated he's willing to wait until late March to find the best fit for him. Official visit to Auburn this weekend.

we play clemson and Bama in the same month with a SECW schedule the rest of the way. It doesn't get harder than that.

There is video on youtube of him solving a rubics cube behind his back. His father is stationed at Ft Hood and was just promoted to full Bird Colonel.

This! All the sips on here had him pegged as their starter next year.
Maybe he doesn't like being kissed by men?

If he truly wants to challenge himself and play against the best, then the SEC is only way to go. Plus Coach
Turner is the best.

He's been pretty open about his recruitment:

Texas
*Product of Westlake
*Recruited him through his HS discus coach
*Stole Auburn's OL coach who was also recruiting him at AU
*States BDF has strong pass rushers

Michigan
*OL & Head Coach with NFL experience
*Chance to play against stronger B10 DLs
*Season concludes with OSU

Auburn
*SECW

Those are all points gleaned from his previous quotes. Jim Turner, SECW, '18 Schedule, Texas location, and the TAMU line history doesn't exactly hurt with that criteria.

Is he really 6-6 240 lbs? Seems really light for an SEC tackle right??

Wherever he ends up, the kid is already a big time winner with that degree from Rice. 240 was his high school weight. I doubt that is correct.

Listed at 300 pounds on Rice website.

My understanding is that he was about 6'3" and 230 coming out of high school and thus he was not highly recruited for OL. He is now 6'5" and slightly over 300 lbs.
Would he start at LT if we were able to sign him ?
Have our recent problems on the OL been due to talent level or coaching or both ?

That seems to be the essential part of his plan, he is going need to start at LT. Kid must be an impressive footballl player too. Congratulations to him, well done.

This sip poster also thought we'd finish nowhere near 15. We finished 16.

If he is NFL level why doesn't he just go pro?

Prior to this class I would have said OL was a glaring position of need and yes, please. Now with these new guys on board I would say he's more of a luxury as a guy who would be able to step in immediately, but not a crushing need. If he decides to come here, sure, why not?

I believe he's betting on himself and increasing his draft stock. One year at a Power 5 of his choosing isn't a bad option.

I still think he is a lock.

If your lock is considering Michigan TAMU Auburn and tu plus he wants to be an NFL lineman he's not that smart. One of those schools clearly is not like the others for putting lineman in the league. Know which one it is?

The SEC puts more players in the NFL than any conference. If he wants to get better he will go SEC.
