You really need someone to explain how team rankings work? Go do some research and see if you can figure out how they might be ahead of us right now.

Other than FSU and maybe Okie St, we should never be behind any of those schools listed. Having said that I am happy to let this staff work and see how things pan out

When we land Waddle and Preston we should be around 15. Relax.

Back to the topic, understanding the coaching change and the "way" recruiting rankings work, I am still shocked to see us behind Baylor at this point. Although, I also agree with the poster who said we should never be behind all but two of these teams.

Baylor stands out to me mostly because a) they aren't that good, b) they're still somewhat in disarray, and c) I could've sworn they were under NCAA sanctions. Juxtapose that with our football tradition, our NC winning (albeit new) coach, and the fact that it appears we have it all together with the administration for once. Then consider that we are recruiting many of the same players. It just surprised me is all.

All I know is I been watching Aggie football since 1992. We are the Aggies the Aggies are we. BAS or apathy I don't even know anymore.

We actually play better when we aren't ranked too high...

You can have your own opinion on our recruiting right now, but you can't have your own facts.

As it stands, our class is currently weak overall. The early signing period was disappointing, and Jimbo is going to make up ground. Right now, I haven't heard much about us pulling in the recruits we need to sign a class worthy of a 7.5 million dollar a year coach.

Hint to OP....How many commits do they have? How many do we have? Recruiting is not over, check back then.

Baylor is done. I'm shocked that they have better recruits than texas state.

Only way they aren't done is resurrection (like the reference?) of a dirty program. See their bball program. Kill teammate and it's no big deal. Onwards! Upwards!

Additionally, recruit rankings matter a bit and they certainly don't make a team. I have faith that Jimbo will develop a team quick enough to easily compensate for any concerns!

Well yes.

Based on what i see Baylor has 20 recruits and we have 14.

When we get to 20 i bet we are ahead of them.

Long way to go but we are still in on a lot of top players.
I think we finish in the 15-20 range which is not bad for Jimbo's first year.

Mack brown came in and poached a trio from us on signing day. Jimbo needs to get some work done.

I, along with most other Aggies, am disappointed that we are so low. However, this is not unexpected.

Recruiting is a lengthy process. It entails building relationships between recruits and coaches. This cannot be done in a few weeks. I can't believe anyone would believe otherwise.
