Nichols - nope. Cupcake we should've won by 40. Fire Sumlin.
ULL - nope. See above.
Arky - nope. OT wins don't count. Arky is terrible. Coach is terrible. Fire Sumlin b/c he didn't try to win in regulation.
SC - nope. They're terrible, and we only won by 7.
Florida - nope. Winning with field goals and strong defense doesn't count, even on the road in the SEC, where the home team has won 85% of their games over 3 decades. Not enough offensive yards. Fire Sumlin.

So, moving forward?

MSU win? - Nope. They're garbage. Winning by less than 50 won't count.
Auburn win? - Nope. They're terrible b/c they lost to terrible LSU. Win won't count.
New Mexico? - Ha! Sumlin should be fired for scheduling them. Won't count.
LSU? - Nope. They lost to MSU and Troy, and their coach is Coach O, so winning won't count.
Bowl game? - Will probably be some garbage bowl, and not the playoff.

11 - 2. None of it counts. Fire Sumlin. Is that about right?

There was some moron on here the other day that said Sumlin should be fired even if we win out.

SC, Bama, and UF have all been great games defensively.

I hope the OL gets it together next.

A win is a win, but I'm not ready to jump on the bandwagon yet. Too much history in the last 4 years and a lack of offensive production keeps me from getting excited.

Honest question.. Do you think our last 3 wins are impressive?
Do you think Arkansas , South Carolina or Florida are good team?
Florida was also without 10 starters for the game

I'll reserve judgment on Sumlin till after the season.. The SEC is an average conference this year. Let's see what happens down the stretch

Any SEC win counts. Any ROAD win in the SEC is impressive; especially in a place like Gainesville, where they've won 85% of their games in the last 30 years. Yes, the way we came back to beat arky, SC, and Florida was impressive. This is actual football, not Madden.

Halftime adjustments, stout defense, and an offensive game plan tailored to Mond's abilities. Our team is growing each week, thanks in large part to Sumlin and staff's guidance - and that just drives Sumlin haters crazy.

Florida has lost half their home games this year. They're about to lose another. No one cares about the last 30 years. They are not a good team THIS SEASON. The season that we played them. The only one that counts right now.

Potbangers will only count wins as wins after Sumlin is gone.

Is it accurate to say Florida was without 10 starters? I know they had some players suspended and Luke Del Rio got hurt, but he isn't any better than Franks.

This is such a weak comment/argument. How many true fish started and/or played significant minutes for us Saturday night? If anything, playing freshmen is more of a disadvantage than "non-starters" playing... And we still beat them at their house.

So true. Last week all the pot bangers were saying "an L is a L, no moral victories." Which is true. But apparently the same doesn't apply to this SEC win against a storied program on the road. Complete nonsense.

9 players were suspended, plus the injuries. They're hurting pretty bad right now. This is the team that barely beat Kentucky with a last minute TD minus some more players.

Young in year 6 after some disastrous recruiting classes is not an argument for Sumlin's HC abilities. Florida is not a good team RIGHT NOW, storied program or not. They will most likely lose more home games than they win this year (3-3 with Georgia, UAB, and FSU still to go), so "their house" is not really a big deal right now either.

Offense has been steadily sagging under Sumlin since Manziel's departure. Record wise, he's on par currently with where he's been every season, though competition has been less, with the exception of Alabama. November will have to be different. Just ask the AD.

Wins only count after a championship. Otherwise it's all for not.

It doesn't matter what side of the aisle you fall under, this discussion won't matter until the minute after the LSU game is over.

So where the sunshine pumpers after the UCLA game.

Wins are wins, but we are playing a pedestrian schedule so far. Florida is historically good, but they are a neutered team this year.

only 2 of the suspended players were actual starters. At least that is what the radio play by play guy from Florida said on texags radio this past week. So no, it is not an accurate statement.

I'm not saying they're world-beaters, but they're also not terrible. Their other two losses were to Michigan to open the season and LSU (which they should've won). Their defense is still tough, especially at home. Yes, they'll lose to Georgia, but that might be their last loss... Any W on the road in the SEC is an achievement. Stop crying and give the team some credit.

It depends on what you mean by "count."
If "count" means I'm gonna put on my suspenders and railroad cap and jump on the Sumlin train, then it's going to take winning out.
It's going to take a serious feat of coaching prowess to erase all the memories of 59-0, and 34pt comebacks, and being the worst team in Mississippi, and losing to K-State and 0fer xxx against LSU, and year six young team, and Sumlin's clearly defined historically bad record against teams with equal or greater talent (on paper), and so on.
I'm sure I'm not the only guy with a list of stuff that needs to be remedied before we go "all-in."

This isn't necessarily a win/loss thing......if you know anything about the game, you can see the lack of fundamentals and discipline across the board with these guys. We have tremendous talent, but without true leadership, we won't win a championship. If you're happy with 8-9 win seasons, then Summy's your guy.

Florida is 2-2 at home THIS season.
They are one miracle Hail Mary winning TD pass over Tennessee.. Same Tennessee that is absolutely terrible and will for sure fire their head coach away from 1-3.
Still have Bama and Florida State so 2-4 is likely.
But but keep telling us how big of a win it was to beat Florida in the swamp because they have won 85% of their conference games in past.

Baylor was a top 10 team 2 years ago.... So
Bama lost at least 6 games .. 5 times between 2003- 2007 including 3 non winning seasons.. So
Nebraska was the team of the 90's... So

The team we beat at the swamp was a below average team.. Don't care what the signage on the side of the stadium said about past years teams

Actually, the only reason Florida beat Kentucky is because Kentucky completely failed to cover a receiver TWICE. And I don't mean busted coverage where two receivers go out and both DBs take the same guy. I'm talking about never lining up someone to cover the receiver at all.
ABATTBQ11
How long do you want to ignore this user?
They're not terrible, but let's not pretend that we beat a team that's going to finish top 25 either. Our team isn't terrible, but we're not good either. We're the same team we've been the last 3 years: a talented but mediocre team that is competitive against other mediocre teams. When we look at who we beat and whether they're ranked at the end of the year, I don't think there'll be many, if any, teams on that list. There will definitely be a list of ranked teams that we lost to.

Now, I'm not saying we should beat every team we play that ends up ranked, but if you want to call this team good, or call Sumlin a successful coach, then the list of teams finishing ranked that we beat needs to be longer than the list we lost to. That hasn't been the case in 4 years.

All of you who are taking about our game against Florida have clearly forgotten that we won.

There's so much stupid here it's not even "zoo" worthy.
