SIAP, but Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears talked about this on their new show and basically said how this was a bad look for the school/program and that if they were on the board of regents they would vote Buzbee off before canning Sumlin.

I agree with them, whether you want Sumlin gone or not (I like most want a new head football coach) this could be damaging and is classless.

And he's not up in arms about Curry on Twitter, but this causes him to lose it???

With that brain trust, it has to be true right??

My suggestion, for both McElroy and Spears is to lobby to get on their respective BOR (BOS in Spears' case) and learn how those governing bodies work before making such pronouncements and showing their ignorance.

I don't think Buzbee's comment hurts TA&M at all. I am nearly to retirement age. Every organization has a jack-leg or two....that is the way it is. Coaches and their agents know the same thing. TA&MU is a serious organization and will be treated as such....Buzbee or no Buzbee.

You can't seriously not think this is damaging... It will affect the team negatively, affect recruiting negatively, and affect our likely future head coach search negatively. I remember many posters upset with Woodward after his comments he made about Sumlin, and those comments gained a lot of attention. This instance was much bigger and will likely gain more attention. And I think in this case I would trust the opinions' of two former collegiate football players and current college football analysts over a lawyer's. Just a guess.

Bosses do fire employees all the time. However there are very few jobs/job markets that garner the attention after a firing like the head football coach of a major college football team. He did much more than simply say how he'd vote. It is "damaging".
