I'll be 28 in a few months. I was alive for the Cowboys but can't honestly say I remember super bowl 30. I've always been a tiger fan and want him to pass Jack. I want Dirk to get one more. I remember staying up watchin the Stars win at 3AM when I was 4th grade.

When Romo and Witten retire I would change it to Aggies first. But I want those guys to win one more than anything. The only thing that makes me hesitant to put Cowboys first is that it is much harder to win a college champ given the # of teams in the NCAA vs nfl.

I am lucky, between the Gators and the Tampa teams, pretty much all my teams have won titles in my memory.
But gator baseball is the one that hasn't, given that Foley is a huge baseball fan it would be an awesome way for him to go out.
The other one would be the Cubs where I was born, but if they actually won they wouldn't be the same lovable loser underdog Cubs anymore, so not sure I truly want that.
And yes, the UMNT winning a major tournament would be awesome.

It pained me to read this thread at first. It still kinda does, but after thinking about it, I could see how a 1st generation Aggie might have a stronger loyalty to a franchise or athlete they loved growing up.

I don't know if there is a scenario where'd I'd prefer another team win a championship, but I'm 3rd generaton. Maybe if we were trying to sweep a massive rape scandal under the rug while in the meantime Johnny cleaned himself up and was the starter for the Cowboys, MAYBE.

I see it quite the opposite. A&M certainly provided opportunity, but by no means was any of it charity. I bankrolled it and put the effort in.

However, because I invested in A&M as much as they did into me, it's more important to me to see them succeed in all areas. I certainly don't have that dynamic relationship with any professional sports teams.
