I'm pretty sure that Mazzone has more experience at recruiting QBs than Al Martell has at dealing with his kids recruitment.

Who started looking for options first, Mazzone or Martel? Either way, I'm gonna side with Mazzone as I have an extremely difficult time believing the Mazzone was ignoring Al to the degree that Al stated. More like, Al wasn't feeling like Mazzone believed in his kid as much as Spav.

I'd bet money there are folks that have witnessed Al and Noel talking to each other on campus on more than one occasion.

I don't really care to know at this point... but it would be pretty humorous if picture evidence come out that they had met / talked...

So similar to the Urban Meyer situation when he first landed at tOSU... "bumping" Dodson during a dead period then denying that there was any violation... till a picture came out of it happening.

Starkel was not involved in the direct message. He tweeted the screenshot of Tate and some unknown person in which Tate called Starkel ass. Tate was saying that Starkel would be a nonfactor as a QB and that he would easily be a true fish starter.

Spav could pick 'em.

That is a little more than just saying he can't play.

Spavital is the common denominator of all our qb's that have failed or bailed.

Now that he's at Cal, they can't decide on who their qb is going to be either. The one who started all Spring, decided he didn't want the job, and moved back to his old position.

His dad is just trying to shift perception off his son that he didn't uphold his commitment. Much easier to say Mazzone is the problem not my wishy washy son.

Not really, Tate is another year away.

But in reality, a coach is much more important than a player, and I think we're in a much better position with Mazzone/no Tate than with Spav/Tate

Hey, the kid may be a stud or an avg college QB. What A&M does not need is a kid and dad that want to play poker with the coaching staff.

Bring guys in that understand they may not start year one but are willing to be part of a team with players willing to compete and show respect their teammates.

I'm guessing Mazzone believes he can win with or without TM. And that isn't a dis on TM.

Didn't know people could be so gullible as to believe only one side of a story. There is another poster claiming to have seen the two men talking and having been introduce to Al Martell by Mazzone.

So what is it about Al's story that is so convincing to you? I find it utterly ridiculous to think a coach with years of experience would completely ignore a 5 Star recruits father. If it is true, I would bet large sums of money that Tate(s) were doing something very wrong.
