It is possible that he was not well liked and was still mishandled by Sumlin. It is not like one disqualifies the other.

He did not mention his teammates in his goodbye statement (understand not doing so with the coaches) so maybe he did not like his teammates much and vice versa.

I think you are letting your imagination get the best of you on the great locker room divide.

Kyle was well liked in the locker room. It's not so much that Kyler wasn't liked but Kyler has very few friends on the team due to the fact that he keeps to himself. He and Daylon are pretty tight and he hangs with Kwami Etwi but other than that, he keeps to himself.

RSJ's tweet was more of a "are you freaking serious...you gotta be kidding me" tweet. The good majority of the team did not know Kyle was transferring but he made up his mind several weeks ago. It was a pretty well kept secret.

If you're not well liked by your teammates and your a QB, you're going to have major issues. KA had confidence issues and I think a big part of that has to do with his teammates not having his back.

I wanted Kyle to succeed.. I think he will, someplace else.. However, I got my first indication that Kyle was not a "team player" during the pre-game run-on to the field before the Alabama game.. You can see the team in the tunnel, swaying back and forth in rhythm (to whatever song was being played), and Kyle was standing over to the side, by himself.. I thought that was odd, at the time.

Don't read too much into that. Kyler stands off by himself quite a bit during the games.

SO WHAT? Maybe he was about to puke his guts up. Maybe he was trying to stay calm or at least not get overhyped. There are dozens of reasons he could have been standing over there.

Texags needs to start doing 30 for 30 style on aggie stuff where we can learn the real truth. BCG, autograph gate, Fran observer, all the players that left under circumstances. There is so much wrong-way gossip that I bet people would pay to know. Don't tell me that is on premium...

Even if this is true, it's still on Sumlin 150%

Unless a guy is an absolute cancer to the team, it's on the coaches to make sure that everyone is on board with the best guys playing. And Kyle was far and away the best QB we had this year.

My son noticed Kyle did not appear to be part of the sideline fraternity. No interaction with teammates you normally see with QB's. I agree with OP
